hi there!! I'm from the Philippines...most of my friends were from the U.S, UK and India... I love being here on mylot because I get to converse with a lot of people from different races and that's kind of cool to learn their culture, values and perceptions as well..

I'm a German living in Mexico, and as of now I haven´t come across another German or a Mexican. I guess that´s because of the linguistic barrier, and since 80 % of the Internet is in English (I believe) I guess I have to do with Brits and Gringos and Aussies LOL. No Krauts around..... But it is a great site to get people from all over the world to share their views, and more than anything it shows me that there are really very few differences between the different people. We all seem to be interested in the same kind of things, worry about our children , wonder how to make more money, etc.

i am from india. you can say i have more than 500 friends. i am not clear till now from where most of my friends are. whatever may be i like the mixed culture here. there are so many people from so many cultures and i like this feature,.

I am not sure on all where all the people I talk to come from, but I know for definate that one is from Australia! Hmmm wonder who that is!The others I think the majority are from all over America, although I do talk to some other Brits on here too. It is great that there is people from all over that are on here, I love learning about other countries!

I'm sort of a world person.I was born and China,and studied and lived in The Netherlands,and the US. I enjoy talking with people worldwide,since "The whole world is my home!"

Yes, I feel the same too. So great to talk to other people who are not at your own race. I've talked to some Indian myself. Very friendly. One thing I like is the time. How different their time zone from mine. Sometimes I'm awake around four in the morning and it's still 2 in the afternoon in their country and start talking from there. Really nice. It feels like you're in their country too. hehehe..

I am from Malaysia. There are not many mylot.com members from my country. Just like other countries, members join and members drop out. It does not matter for those of us who are here for the right reasons, i.e. to network. That's why after almost a year and half, I am still here.

I'm in USA. I think the best thing about this site is getting to meet people from all over the world.

Hi there Kiran, you are half Indian and half Kiwi, but you live in Australia? Wow, you must be quite cosmopolitan. Where in Australia do you live? I've been to Australia many times (last count it was 9 times), and I just love going back there every couple of years. I come from sunny Singapore. There are some Singaporeans here on myLot and I have interacted with them in discussions. Mostly, the people whom I "talk" to here are either from India, Philippines or US, and a couple from China, England, Australia and Malaysia, but by far, the largest number seems to be from US. Yes, it's interesting that social networks like this allow us to just talk to each other virtually across countries like we are all neighbors. This is one of the great enablers of technology, and we are reaping the benefits of harnessing technology in bringing the world closer together.

I am a relocated Brit been living in the USA for four years now. Maybe you should are where are computers are located LOL. I think I will always think of me as a Brit however long I live in America. So I'll leave it to you to allocate me where you will.

I agree it is a great thing! it helps to keep us more charitable, I think, and maybe squall some preconceptions we may have had about a country or its people. I have a lot of friends from the Philippines, I suppose, overall, I like their mannerisms. I am from the USA

I am from the Philippines mate. But honestly, I do not keep track on the nationalities of my friends. I think I have one Chinese and one American, then mostly Filipinos. Giving it second thoughts though, I could no less agree with you that it is indeed great to think that we are composed of different nationalities here in mylot. What's even more interesting about that is that we agree on many things more than differ. No matter what culture we may think we come from, it matters not as much as our desire to befriend each other and see where we share interests with. Wow. One humanity mate. That's the beauty of mylot.
