keep the frozen ones handy? Pop in the toaster and you are done. Which do you prefer? What about the kids?

I have never made homemade waffles before. I always buy them premade and prepackaged. I like the Eggo Waffles the best. My daughter and husband do too.

I have frozen waffles in the freezer, but I don't make them too often. I like to make waffles from scratch but I only do that as a special breakfast occassion. I don't make them on a regular basis although they are delcious and very filling also.

I like to make them, but my waffle iron broke so I just buy them. They are good and easy to use. Just pop them in the toaster and you can have fresh crisp waffles in no time. Cheaper too.

I like them both ways but prefer them fresh. My daughter likes them frozen but I don't think she cares yet. When I was pregnant I would crave them everyday the fresh ones and I could eat them without anything. Your making me want a homemade waffle now lol.

Homemade! Sometimes with chocolate chips, blueberries, strawberry chunks, or add a little maple flavoring to them and watch them disappear. Easter morning pancakes=one large batch of mix prepared, divide into 4 or 5 bowls, add a couple of drops of different colored food coloring to each bowl( one color for each bowl) pour a small amount of each color or mix and match as desired. Kids love it!

We keep frozen waffles in the freezer and just pop them in the toaster. Now pancakes, I like homemade and we make them when we have the time. But we also keep frozen ones in the freezer for when we don't have the time.

I love waffles! xD I have a waffle maker, and I usually keep some pancake and waffle mix on hand. But sometimes I feel like making batter from scratch or I'll get a box of eggos from the store.

I'm not a breakfast eater, but have to make it for my 8yo GD on the days she is here before school. I have a waffle iron that make the waffle in "sticks" so you just cut them apart and dunk them into the syrup. She loves it and always asks for "Nanny made" ones. She'll eat the frozen, but if she can get mine, she'd rather have them. I use Bisquick to make the batter, but recently bought a speciality just for waffle box mix - Krutez or something like that. Not expensive. ANd those taste really good.I have tried to make them an freeze them to toast later, but the fluffyness just instant there after freezing, so it doesn't really take that long a time make the batter and bake them so I just do that. If it makes my baby girl happy, I do it!

I don't have a waffle maker so I just buy the frozen ones and pot them in the toaster. When we go on vacation the motels have those big waffle iron makers and you just put the batter in them and cook them I think those are really good my friend even bought one to use in her own house she likes them so much.

I wish I could make homemade waffles but I don't got a waffle maker. I usually buy the frozen ones and heat them up and slather them with butter. Not a syrup fan. I like the buttermilk and blueberry ones but not the chocolate chip ones. Same with pancakes...it's weird since I love chocolate!

I really prefer to make waffles instead of toast the freezer kind. I know it can be convenient to have a toaster waffle, but I really think they don't taste much like a real waffle.

We normally have pancakes in this house. My son did get on an Eggo waffle kick after visiting family a month or 2 ago. I bought him a few boxes. Lately he has been wanting me to make him waffles in the mornings. I have done this for him a few times in the last 2 weeks. He eats a lot more waffles when they are fresh.

My husband and I were given a waffle iron for our wedding, so I usually make my own. I always make more than we can eat (there's just no way to cut the recipe, it's really hard to divide 1 egg!) so I just put the rest in the freezer for later. To freeze them, you layer each waffles with a piece of waxed or parchment paper, stick them in a big freezer bag, and there you go. To thaw them, you just pop 'em in the toaster like store-bought ones, and voila! Instant breakfast!

To be honest with you I have never made homemade waffles, I have made homemade pancakes. We occasionally have the frozen waffles and just stick them in the toaster. When I eat them I usually like to put jelly on them, sometimes I put syrup but I like jelly better I think. Now if we are having pancakes I would rather make them myself I don't really like the pancakes that are frozen, the waffles are pretty good though. when I do eat pancakes I usually eat one with just butter, one with jelly and one with butter and syrup.

When I make homemade waffles, I make extra and freeze them. Fresh made is better- but the frozen ones are great because their quick and the kids make them.
