I am really hating this.. i am FUMING....

MY rating fell by just one .. from 48 to 47.. and I do not think that myLot has got anything to do with it.. My posts have not yet been deleted.. seems like I'm still in the line of sensibility, and they haven't got a reason to delete my posts. Well, ratings and comments do not mean much of a thing to me. I don't blame you for feeling this way. I'm pretty upset as well. Earlier tonight, I'd say about 1lpm (EST) the number beside my name said (78), and I come log on now, less than 5 hours later, and its down to (75). That is annoying.

write to admin I think it is a glitch sometimes seems to be wrong. It is happening to too many people now. They need to become aware of the situation. If nobody rights to them they will never know.

If the star ratings are computed on a percentage basis. We are led to believe this is achieved by fellow myLotter rating discussions and responses then from a person with 5,000 points and a 7 star they would have to lose 10% to drop to a 6 star. This would take 500 negative ratings!!! I do not believe even a dedicated troll would invest so much time to do that. PLUS surely this would send of an alarm to myLot admin(???) and they would put a stop to it. These facts are what makes me think agree that there is something higher at work here on the fluctuating star scores.

I am sorry to hear that. Mine was at a 10 one time when I first joined Mylot and it has stayed at a low 9 for a long time. I try not to pay any attention to it anymore.

I am surprised to see similar discussions raised today in a short period of time. It hasn't happened with me yet. I dont knwo the reason behind but it will certainly be an issue of disappointment for the user. On the other hand, i haven't noticed any decrement in my rating as such but in the mornign when i logged in my earnings were 2.62$ and just now when i checked it rose to 2.64$. This type of increment has happened with me earlier too. I think mylot is too generous to me so that it keeps me awarding bonus (in cents though) from time to time.. lol But comeon yaar.. you have been a very old member of this site and has been a source of inspiration for others. If you would think of quitting mylot, what would others do? So keep going on yaar. I dont think if star rating would affect your earnings. Anyway, I dont thik you are here for the money?? By the way how do you check the reputation part ??

I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I will give you a positive rating to help boost your score up again. But I think some smarty on here is pulling some pranks and may even be jealous of you. It's been happening a lot... no excuse for it!! They will get theirs.

I wouldn't worry about the star rating. I mean it is just a star. Mine has dropped a few times in the past also. I am just here for friends and to make a little bit of side money myself.

There have been several complaints. I can't explain it, I don't think anyone can.. my own hasn't changed so far but it will probably be my turn soon. I really can't see why people are getting so upset about it. I certainly don't think it's meant to get people to leave.

I don't know, my friend. I agree it kinda s*cks and it certainly threatens to spoil one's day. I know I have always given you pluses when I respond to your discussions or when you respond to my discussions. The reputation system is flawed and broken to start with... I really hope they will remove it or make it better. I hope your 10 will come back soon... here's another plus.

No. don't leave. I think someone is playing games and mylot will catch on soon. I have seen too many discussions like yours in the past couple days. I'm sure it'll grab their attention that someone is just running wild and hitting negative buttons on certain members. Don't leave.

You are not alone Subha in this drop I have dropped a point which is not much but it still hurts because I worked hard to get my start and keep it up. LOL!! But also Sparkofinsanity she went from her blue star to a red star and I can't figure out why for the life of my either. More than lightly its the members probably the new members who don't know what them plus and minus signs are for.They're just fooling around trying to figure out what different icons are for and are affecting some mylotters ratings that's one explanation for that.

Gee...I was feeling bad cause I don't have a star at all:( Maybe I'm better off? One less thing to worry about I guess.

Its not only you shuba. My earnings have decreased too. I haven't checked my ratings yet. I am sure they must have gone down too.

Ratings go up and down like a yoyo on here and I feel that too much importance is placed on them. Just lately there have been a lot of cases where people have had discussions deleted, ratings have dropped and people are getting wound up. For what it's worth I think I have only even negative rated a handful since I joined here over a year ago.

Hi, I think some people report you on a regular basis as you tend to post individual issues concerning myLot. The more you react to these changes, all the more truimphant they feel and get encouraged to disturb you furthermore. I have a suggestion for you: Deliberately refrain from posting individual issues concerning mylot and stay phlegmatic for awhile without heeding to the fluctuations in your stars. The star system is not quite the actual description of what you or your contributions are - since it is not under your control; therefore, quit worrying about it. The more you make clear to your raters, that you do not bother in the least, about your reputation - fewer are the chances of your star ratings coming down. I don't think there is a need to leave; afterall, wicked people are present wherever you go.

And that would make victim #11 or at least KNOWN/admitted victims... This is all happening too much to just be a coincidence Sub... Did you check the discussions in the "related discussions" panel. They are also showing the same problem you are (as of this response). At least NOW some people will believe me when I have my random claims against the star sham, I meant rating system. -_- It doesn't show quality at all and is completely unfair. No dear. You should never leave. First and foremosr calm down and think over your posts and try to change them to more generalised ones. I still feel this is a problem on mylot's part. good luck!

don't worry about it. maybe mylot is just doing a bit of adjustments. your rating will get back up soon.
