I used to be totally agianst it as i thought it was vanity and for hollywood types wanting to look like pamela anderson.
But lately i have had a change of heart. It happened after the birth of my second child. Things kind of went south if you know what i mean. Since i can no longer wear most of my old shirts, it got me thinking. Perhaps it could be called reconstructive surgery?
I think that i would benefit enourmously from surgery. It would give me more self esteem, which means i will be more social, outgoing, romantic with husband, not depressed while clothes shopping, not wearing baggy clothes everyday which turns husband off. There are so many things it could change positively.
So i think now that people should not judge a person if they want plastic surgery, because it could make all the difference intheir lives.
Have you had, or do you want any plastic surgery?

Well I've had one child so far and still don't want it hehe... I find that beauty to me is not on the outside, I'm not one of those fat slobs... I was actually able to get back to my prepregnancy shape, but as you said things did go a bit south... and well my belly isn't as "Pretty" but I don't care about that. My body to me is as beautiful as i want to make it without the knives.

yep I agree, as I had been tease and was self conscious for most of my childhood, I turned out to be not happy with myself or my body, but after I graduated and started working, lost my weight I had gained since puberty, and felt more self assured I saw a HUGE difference in how people treated me :D

I say go for it! I used to say I'd never have plastic surgery also. However, when my body started looking bad, my tune changed. I had a tummy tuck a couple of months ago and it's made me feel like a million bucks again.

Hiiiiiii There
I am not judging you but for me plastic surgery is the last thing I will try because I have also seen cases where the plastic surgery have made things worse but it is rare. Also I personaly feels that plastic surgery should be used mainly when we need to corect burn skins.

I have not done any work on myself through surgery and for me well it is a bit of a scary thought to be honest with you. I am not sure that I could go through with it but I do understand why so many people think about it. You see the mind is a very powerful thing and it can bother people too much the way they look and that is why they consider it seriously. I don't like to judge these people because I understand their pain and they probably have suffered enough from it too. There are many reasons I understand for surgery but if it improves the quality of life for someone, I guess I should just be happy for them.

i've never ever had this surgery, but i don't oppose to it. everyone has his/her lifestyle. de facto, someone has to do this kind of operation, they must, i can understand. as i'm living quite at ease now, i don't have trouble in dressing, although i'm not very slim, but anyway it's all right, at least i can withstand this. so long as i can tolerate and others can tolerate, i will not do this. who knows what i'm gonna like if there is a mistake. what's more, i don't have that much money. i just can't imagine that some part of my body are implanted and not my own.
however, if i do have a need. i have no choice but to do so, i'd probably try

You must go to a psychologist before undergoing to a surgery.
You must be sure of your decision.

I have never considered to have a plastic surgery. I don't think it's necessary for me. After all, it's an operation. As long as it's an operation, the risk will be available. And if the surgery is failed, then it will be so terrible. I will look ugly and I don't want it at all.

Even though I have considered it because I do not like my nose... I have watched it being done and seen horror stories. I am also a wimp and can not handle the pain. As for the body appearance ...eh.. I have walked to get rid of the excess weight and have been VERY happy. I am sure your husband love you the way you are. But I think reconstructive surgery is not the answer.
Too each their own though.. if you think it would help you... than go for it

As I don't like going to the doctors or hospitals cosmetic surgery has been the furthest thing from my mind. I'm not against people opting for cosmetic surgery if it makes them happy but I can't understand why people would go to the extreme of actually making themselves look abnormal because they've had too many procedures. Hollywood stars seem to do it as a hobby or if they're bored and lets face it, they have the money to do it with, For normal people like us it's a pretty big decision in terms of money as well as the whole operation/recovery time. If you do decide to go ahead with cosmetic surgery I wish you well and hope that it makes you happy.

I think that I would be a bit worried to have plastic surgery...maybe my face would change so that I couldnt recognise myself!!
Though a tummy tuck and a boob job wouldnt go amiss!!!..but no really i dont think that I would ever have it.
My sister is really desperate to have a facelift...she has had a few sessions of botox...but I can tell when she has had it..her eyes look suprised!!...and when she had it on her mouth I knew straight away..because her mouth moved dfferently.
If her hubby would allow her to use the money for a facelift she would be booked in next week!!!!...but everyone is different...and its a good job we are!!!

I've never had plastic surgery, but I'm not the type to judge people who've had it. They just want to look beautiful, and that's a natural feeling. If I had a lot of money maybe I would consider having one myself too.

Well personally I like to look perfect :)
I know it is impossible... we all have some imperfections... But I don't think I would consider plastic surgery until after I get married... I want the person I marry to love the way I am and then maybe play around with my face just for fun..

if having plastic/reconstructive surgery is going to make you feel better, happier, and improve yourself esteem than go for it. I am neither againt it or for it, but I believe in anything that makes you feel happier.
Talk about it with ur husband.
:D best wishes
