I stumbled across an article with this picture. This is from a website called www.godhatesfags.com. It's actually westborobaptistchurch.com but both address lead to the same place.
It took me a long time to figure out whether this site was really an anti-gay site or a pro gay rights site using sarcasm to make its point.
As for this picture of the young girls wearing godhatesfags.com shirts, this is a form of child abuse as far as I'm concerned. This is disgusting. What sort of people are we turning these kids into? How can these people call themselves holy? They will clearly be the ones going to hell with all the hatred they're spreading. I'm sorry but these people are stupid.
If you take at the 'visual' section on the site, you will see some twit holding up a sign that says "Thank God for aids". WTF????????????It's the 21st century. IMO these people should be thrown in jail for spreading so much hatred and idiocy.

If they world read the Bible, it says "God loves the sinner, but hates the sin."
God loves everyone, of all genders, persuasions, etc.
Homosexuality is Biblically a sin, and is condemned by God, but
it is the act that is disdainful, not the person, who like all of us, is subject to falling "...short of the mark." We are all sinners, and have no right to point the finger at another. If a homosexual comes to know and love the Lord, he or she will have power to resist the sin, and be a new creature in Jesus.

I read that Peter was the one who had a problem with homosexuality anyway and it had nothing to do with God...
It's explained in the book 'Gay Christian 101' written by an unbiased, straight man.

I agree with you suspense..just last Sunday our pastor said that he believes that homosexuality is a sin and that God thinks its a sin, but God still loves them, he hates the sin, but he loves the people, and we are to do the same. We are to show love to everyone, just as God does. I don't think these people on this website should be calling themselves a church, it doesn't sound like any church I know, and for them saying they are baptist, well I'm a Baptist and thats CERTAINLY not we preach in our church...

wow that is insane. I mean the issue of gays is contraversial and well we dont even need to go there right now this is just hatred and wrong. God hates nothing God loves. This is sad that people feel the need to do this.

Thank you for comming straight to the point. Anyone who can put up a site like that is obviously not in tune with God. I don't know about you but I've found that the older I get I realise that people who claim to have an exclusive on God or seem to know what he likes and dislikes actually are the people furthest away from God - a point, which I believe was quite prominent in the Gospel.

I actually started a thread about this church not too long ago after seeing this Rev in an interview..He's a right royal lunatic and a sick twisted one at that!..I came across their website a few yrs back and was just FLOORED the first time I stumbled on it....
Sadly these ppl are within their rights for the most part, sick but true..And as much as I (along wiht many others) consider them to be child abusers, vile, hateful and so on, reality is, unless they actually break the law there is nothing that can be done about it....

Isn't this the same church which protested outside the graveyard a whole bunch of soldiers were buried in? Unless I'm mistaken..I think they get particular attention from the media sometimes.
*shakes my head* it chills me to the bone to think about people like this.

Ii truly believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions in life but to be so damning and hateful is just twisted and cruel! I am a Christian and I have faith but I believe in following the example of Jesus Christ, love, respect and tolerance! These people can say that they hate the gay lifestyle - that is their opinion and they are entitled to it - they cannot say that GOD hates it, they are twisting scriptures to suit their own beliefs and that is just so wrong - why would they be so full of hate and bitterness? My opinion is that God made people Gay and loves them just the way they are! xxx

Hi coffeshot! I do agree with you. That is the problem with most people, being so self righteous. So much judgment, so much hatred! They preach love but they do not know how to really love, they preach forgiveness and mercy but they readily persecute their fellowmen. They preach generosity and sharing but they are after only how much they an collect. Sorry but sometimes some people are cruel! Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

I did a discussion on this group when I first started on mylot. They are completely insane with their bigotry.
I don't know of a god that allows this behavior and thinks that it is ok. Ridiculous!

This is why it is so popular to say that Christians are unfair, mean, discriminatory. Some of them give the rest a bad name. It makes me sad to say I go to a Baptist church, but also really proud to say that my church doesn't treat people this way. I think it is sad firstly to be so open with such vile hatred, and also terrible to come right out and say to anyone that they are going to Hell because of their lifestyle or social choices. The fact is there are no doubt people in that church, and if there are people there are sinners because the Bible in Romans says all of us are sinners. No one can live perfectly on their own without being a sinner. That is the idea of Christianity, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, which is all human beings. We need the holiness of Christ and to claim the covering of His blood to appear perfect before God. This is not discrimination but a gift from the Holy God Who loves all His creatures and wants them to become His children, His heirs, joint heirs along with Jesus. Jesus is His Son who lived and walked among us sinners on the Earth and befriended us to inform us that God wanted us to come back to Him.

These people are nuts. Whats more I think to twist God's word they will suffer for it. He doesn't take well to people doing wrong, especially hating, in His name. I think God would be pretty disgusted with this. Also if they read the Bible they know it says plainly "judge not and ye shall not be judged" and "let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

Here in this country we are given the right of freedom of speech however that right stops when it promotes violence, hatred towards others, riots, slander etc. Yes we can say what we want but there are limits. This church needs to have those limits shown to them. What they are doing is promoting the hatred towards a certain group of people. They are promoting bigotry and prejudice and that should never be accepted.
I don't know how they can call themselves holy. What they are promoting is hatred and that is never holy. It's a recipe for disaster. The hatred they spread will fester within them and only serve to destroy them.

I believe they have freedom of speech and i do hate what speech they use against others. they apparently think their jesus would do the same..haha.
when you worship a being that murdered most all life on earth in a flood, to include babies and bunny rabbits and that same person promises to torture billions with fire and you call him moral, ....clearly, they don't understand the meaning of morality and likely only care for their own belief and everyone else can damned. they love to exclude and hate and it is shown to all as times passes. kids are starting to see it and just roll their eyes at the silly excuses for religion to claim something is wrong or write when their god murdered, promises to torture and then tells them to love their enemies while he claims to be the father...wow.
i am thankful this world has the open communication and the internet which is able to allow kids to see all views and not just the little narrow minded view of the church.
peace

Well they maybe one form of Christianity but I also know now to lump all together. Not all who are christian follow the belief system this church promotes thankfully. At least in this day and age people can learn about other thoughts if they so choose and determine for themselves which path to follow far easier then in years past.

I'm really shocked at the site as you are! Wow. I didn't go much further than the first page because it was a bit much for me to see or like. God doesn't hate anybody. Quite the contrary. However, God does not agree with acting out gay tendancies. I'm NOT here to judge for the bible says "judge not and thou shalt not be judged" and I TRY to live by that but I'll be honest, I'm not perfect. Nobody is perfect but God Himself. Nobody.

Well... this isn't anything new but its still disgusting.
Just goes to show that "warped" come in many forms of people.
On a side note, it'd be interesting if the "Thank God for AIDS" guy ended up with a little irony in his future. -_-

I wrote them a loving letter, telling them how none of their statements could be backed up Biblically, how much pain they were causing people, how much destruction they were bringing upon themselves, and that no one who reads their Bibles should be acting this way. It is probably a 5 page letter, and it IS done lovingly. People don't listen to your words if you are harsh, they should have learned this by now.

Of course I agree with you wholey - things like this a disgusting and I really can never believe that people still hold these views! THOUGH I have just visited the site and if you take a look at the blogs - they just don't seem very serious - especially the 'dear shirley' ones. I don't know what to think -= because it's not obvious enough to be an elaborate prank. Yet seemingly not serious enough to honestly be real... ?! I don't know. BUT I sure hope it is a prank, because I think anyone with views ( and the willingness to act on them) deserves to be shot.

It is really scary that so much hatred still exists. But it does. There are people who promote such slogans as "Kill a F@g for Jesus!" and "AIDS is God's Wrath on Homosexuals."It really shows the ignorance of many people who think they are educated. I guess they have been educated - to believe lies.
Jesus never suggested murder of anyone. And AIDS is most rampant in Africa where it is spread by heterosexuals. so where does all this anger come from.
I've come to believe that people fear what they don't understand. So maybe gay and lesbian people are resources for peace if people just get to know them as people instead of labels.

This website and this group is just simply disgusting and disrespectful. Those are not the teachings of Jesus. They are far from it! They are a cult in my opinion. I believe this group is one of the ones that Jesus warned about in the Bible, who says there will be many trying to take the scriptures and pervert it.
One thing people need to know about the leader of this church is that he has had crime records about abuse of his family and performing incest.

That's for one thing, not true at all. God hates sin, not the sinner. I think that church has a lot of problems, probably are not honoring God in very many ways at all. I'm not sure what would convince someone who has been forgiven by the grace of God alone to not extend that grace to others. While God does not ever want us to condone sin, He says we must love the sinner as He did. Hate and love can not coexist. They are harming their children, but I don't think I would want them jailed for it. It's one thing to speak and wear T-shirts or even give them to children, it's another to commit a crime against someone because they are a certain way. I am against hate crimes, always, but I think sometimes even when we know people are very wrong and their speech is harmful, we still need to stand up for free speech. If we start jailing these people, soon we will not be able to say that certain behaviors are sins without fearing for our safety, and then we lose our freedom of religion too.

I believe it is child abuse just like i believe it is child abuse to teach your kids that god is real, that he will torture you if you do not believe or follow and that he will let you live for eternity if you do believe.
Religion has long been hateful of those that do not share their views and history has shown just what horror religion is capable of and claiming it is good as they do it in the name of God.
Even their god that murdered most all life on earth to include children is called moral? i would say that is abuse to teach kids god is love and then tell them about the promised torture and the murder done by god and in his name. sick and vile in my opinion.
