My computer is acting up, my DNS server won't recognize me for more than a minute at a time, and I've decided to go off line for the day, defrag my computer and call my provider and give him merry h*ll for making me disappoint my friends.
Keep those ideas for my soon to be ex's gift box coming and I'll check in tonight if I can.
As for you trolls playing with my star - have at it. I love yellow, but white is nice too! Just keep me away from the pink ok? I may have to go all troll on YOU if that happens. ROFL
Does anyone remember how to defrag a computer? Not that I'll be here to read your answer in time, but it would be nice to have it written down, in an email alert I can archive against future memory lapses.

You know what my friend?.. I am really disappointed at what's happening here lately, in-fact I don't really join and avoid discussions about those stars. I have contacted the admin about this, if they could give us a concrete explanation about our ratings (but it seems like they won't give a dang about this).

Hello raijin, nice to see you too. I got my computer probs straightened out for now, so that's a good thing and here I am again! LOL
As for the stars - the system should be done away with. It's nothing more than an avenue for trolls and brings the enjoyment of the site down. I really wish admin would pay attention to the users input like they say they do.

I haven't seen you around much and now I know why, I hope that your issues with computer as well as with humans get resolved soon.
As for Defragmentation, I assume that you are using Windows, in which case, go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter : It will open a window with different sections. In the top window, within larger window, your drives will be shown along with File System (like FAT or NTFS), Capacity, Free Space and percentage free space. Select the drive you want to defragment, and hit defragment...Et Voilà!
Alternate option to access defragmenter is to simply go to start-Run and type "dfrg.msc" (of course, without quotation marks), same window will open.
As for trolls, they can't make you discouraged from participating here, can they? You do know that it doesn't reflect you and you are same for your friends as you were before. It is, however, lowering the trolls themselves as they continually deny themselves any respect!

I was gonna jump in here and give her the low down on defragging But I see my handsome young friend has beat me too it, and done a rather fine job of it as well :)))) Na Sparks won't get discouraged, she fights back that is when the real worry starts.

Kamran, your instructions were perfect and I'm now defragged and doing much better. Thanks heaps. As for my star - it should stay this color for awhile.
But it'll be blue again, you betcha. Let them play their games. I'm rather enjoying the variety! ROFL

Other people pointed out the defragment command (yay, less work for me).
If you need some time off mylot or just want to relax a bit, go for it.
I didn't notice "the folks" gave your star, 'gold'...its been a hectic week over here... stress filled and illness inducing. I'm only able to be on mylot at this time due to that.

It could either be your computer or your connection. If you have a browser with tab browsing (firefox, opera, IE7) you may want to cut back on how many tabs you have up. The same with windows, don't have too many open.
If its system wise, you may want to check your browser's cache and clear that out. That sometimes helps getting things back to the right speed.
If that doesn't help, it could be something with your provider/internet. Hopefully its not corrupted or anything, but you should consider talking to your ISP if the problem remains or gets worse.

Hey gamer, I'm sorry you'be been stressed and ill. Gosh, what would mylot do without you? Take care of yourself. You can bet you'd be missed more than me! lol
Question for you though, seeing as you didn't have to do any work about the connection problem.lol What could be causing my pages to load so slowly? It's driving me nuts.

Thanks gamer. I think it's my cache. It must be really full by now, and I'm always afraid of clearing it in case I lose my temporary file downloads. Would that happen? And I can't remember anyway how to get to where I need to go to clear my cache. I'm such a dufus with a really bad memory! LOL
