I like to have my toast more to the dark side and even if it's a little burned that's okay...I can't stand it when it's like warmed up bread! How do you like your bread toasted?

It has to be a little bit crispy and a little bit browned but I don't like it burnt and I certainly don't like it just warmed up!

it is. I remember i was at a camp fire when i was young and we where told that eatting burnt bread is good for your health. I wonder if they said that just so we would eat it.

I prefer it non-toasted. I really don't like it burnt, though. I'd say about medium toasted.

I don't like it burned but also don't like it to taste like warmed up bread. I prefer to have it lightly brown, cut in half, loaded with butter or margarine and top it with strawberry jelly or jam. Love the fattening butter and different spreads on toast but sometimes feel the need to watch the calorie intake.

I like my toast a light brown.I guess you would call it medium. Not too dark and not too light.

I don't like my toast dark. I hate when you take a bite of it and the crumbs go everywhere b/c of it being to crunchie. I really love my bread fresh and I think bunny bread is the best even though it cost a bit more then other breads. It stays fresh pretty long also but if it starts to go stale then I will put it in the toaster for just a very short while to warm it up. When I put butter on it I like to put it back in the toaster to make the butter melt into the bread it is so good that way.

Of course we'd all prefer the toast to be perfect (something I never have achieved on my own), but if there is a choice to be made, it wouldn't be hard for me. Burn it baby! I'd rather have it slightly burnt than just a lukewarm mushy piece of bread.

hi jill! i prefer my bread to be warmed up with a little brown on each side and still a little soft. i don't like too much toasted bread to the point that it becomes crunchy rather than soft.

Hi Jill, I like my toaster to be set so it toasts just before getting to the burnt stage, but will not eat it burnt and even though I shouldn't I like it with lots of melting butter, yum. The burnt ones do go out for the birds. Ellie :D

Like you I like my bread to be a little burned for it's more tasty and it's crunchy. and it's more delicious than a warmed bread.

I too want my toast toasted it has to be golden brown not just warmed up bread. Hot enough to melt the margarine and jam Also my toast has to be from whole grain bread and not that yucky stuff like white wonder bread . thats thebread you can roll up into little gummy bread pills.lol.

Sandwich for my dad - cheese and bacon sandwich
When I was younger I liked my bread almost burnt like you do. I've heard people say that bread like that is better for your stomach. I like my bread lightly toasted these days but for grilled cheese I like it to get nice and brown and crispy (I make my grilled cheese in a toaster oven btw)

Wow...I have never heard of that but I bet it does work good for grilled cheese! Thanks for posting!
