Cat Dung Coffee - What are we missing?

Well, I'm a little devastated. If I lived in the UK, I could spend $100 for a cup of coffee made from coffee beans, harvested from the dung of the Civet cat. The cat eats the beans, the beans go through its system and then are extracted from the poo. Australia evidently has been selling this coffee for a year as well. Where are marketing people getting these ideas... Sorry, for the visual, but what a job making this stuff.

So.....
Would you drink a cup if you were given one free?
What is the very top limit of what you would spend for a cup of gourmet coffee?

That's disgusting! Are you serious? I wouldn't drink it if someone paid me to! Well maybe if they paid me, but it'd have to be a good sum of money! LOL. I'm not one to spend the extra on a gourmet cup of coffee. Give me my Tim Hortons and I'm good!

I saw an episode of Dirty Jobs based on the collection of the cats dung. Nasty job. Myself I have yet to drink any gourmet coffee. I prefer regualr coffe and never will pay $4 and more for a cup of joe. I pay around $1.45 cents tops right now for my regular coffee when I eat out.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I saw this piece somewhere myself.. good grief Why I have to ask then ask again Why? Heavens no I would not drink it. I am not a big gourmet coffee drinker. However Sonic now has those Java Chillers OH yum yum yum... I get the frozen with an extra shot of expresso and it is heaven. I think for a large it is about 3.58 kinda steep, but boy are they good. Probably like a 1000 calories per serving too, but who is counting anyway?

I'd drink my own piss first, at least I know where it's been and what was consumed in order to produce it. ewwwwwwwwwww, this is over the top.

Well I surely wouldn't spend a $100 bucks for coffee made this way let alone drink it for free. That is truly disgusting. How do they consider this gormet? And I surely also wouldn't want to make the coffee from the poo either, ewww grose!

Yup, People are supposed to be the most intelligent animals on the Planet, but are they really? Imagine if you will, someone out walking their dog while drinking a cup of cat-Sh!t coffee. Now the dog has to Sh!t so the person holds the coffee in one hand while bending down and picking up after the dog with the other. Not too smart are they?

I am continually stunned by what people are willing to do just to say they did... and why don't they understand that their crying over $4-a-gallon gas can't be taken seriously by people who also know that the general public is more than willing to pay the same $4 for a single cup of coffee???
I make mine at home, put it in an insulated mug, add some sugar-free cocoa mix and head out... when its cold, it tastes like chocolate milk, so I drink it all!

Our son goes up to Canada just to buy Tim Horton's... we drink what he gives us, but its more bitter than mine.
I remember when bread was 3 loaves for $1... people swore they'd boycott if it got to $1 a loaf... now its $4-5, and nobody thinks anything of it. Prices have gone up on everything, and people adjust. Its what we do... but I guess we have to grumble first.
Passing beans through the equivalent of a skunk is just silly... I wonder who first got the bright idea to drink it?? And I wonder if there's a bet going to see if they can hype it enough to make gullible people buy it...???

Yep, I did learn this news from the tv evening edition few days back. For me, no matter how tasty the coffee is, I won’t spend $100 for only a single cup of it. I rather prefer to have my cup of local aromatic white coffee with lower charge.
I don’t think I would try it even though it were to be given free for me, as the coffee is prepared from the beans which was pick from the cat dung. It is really awful, yuck!
My hubby and I would spend our leisure time having coffee and desserts in coffee beans or starbucks though the charge there is rather higher than that in the local coffee shop, but occasionally only.
