Now this is ridiculous

I have a supposed "friend" on this site who has just posted 31 discussions in less than 10 minutes. They are all 3 to 5 words in length and they just keep coming. I responded to one by telling this person that mylot didn't look kindly on these kind of discussions and that perhaps they should add a bit more substance to them. I have received no reply, and yet I just got notification number 32. I have tried to delete this person from my friends list, but can't find them in it, although I have looked twice. I've noticed that recently I've received notifications from people who are not on my list and normally I wouldn't mind, but 32 discussions in less than 10 minutes. Give me a break. I know, I know just ignore them, delete them and go on, but now its 33, nope I take that back 34. What should I do? What can I say to this person to get across to them that this isn't cool?

hi kbourgerie that is really weird. I did notice something like
that come to thinkof it. I am glad you told the person that mylot does not like those three word discussions at all.Its hard to know what to do. How do they manage to do so many in such a short time? It takes me awhile to do one discussion. thirty two in ten minutes, I wonder what their game is. I did get an email from Mylot saying that they think that they have found the person who has been hitting a lot of minus keys and that there may be one or two others.so mylot does finally answer our emails.

Well, I'm glad you have received something, because not only have I not received anything, but the blatant remarks against me remain in the discussions they were placed. As for the person will all the discussions, they type three words, submit it, and do the same thing again. I swear the number is now up to 50 posts if not more.

Thanks for your alert. Some people here does not want your opinion and experience really, and only for making money purpose. However, he can' earn more depend on his few word posts. Nobody will join it. And this guy is not welcome. If the guy still to do it by using "tricks", you will give it up very soon. Don't be annoyed, my dear friend.

I think myLot needs a Reporting system badly, they should also hire out some people that are sensible, well known, good behaviour (done nothing stupid on myLot) for a "Report" team.
When people get reported, the "Report" team will look on the crime and decide what to do with them (I.P. ban them or ban them temporarily).
When I get back from my lesson, I will send a e-mail to the myLot team to maybe look at this idea and make it possible :p
I suggest that this is a really good idea.

?? Mylot DOES have a report system. Every member on here can report something they think violates the guidelines.
Do you see the three buttons beside each post that has + - !
+ is for good comments that add to the discussion.
- is for those that are not good responses but do not violate the guidelines ( NOT for ones you disagree with!)
! is to report posts that violate the guidelines.
Be sure to tell WHY it is a violation. A link to any thing that might prove the point (as in some of his other discussions)
It is up to the members here to help mylot keep the site free of cheaters, spammers, and bullies.

I know, I am very sorry for any confusion caused. I just didn't know about it. But, people have reported that the system isn't active enough. Maybe we just need more active staff members?

the only thing you can do is report this person, this is outright abuse of mylot and it will back fire on all of us eventually.

Tricky situation for you, you may please write to mylot, that you have been getting notifications alerts for the members, who are not your friends. You may not reply to each and every discussion, it is upto you.

I have seen some of them... and they took up most of my new discussions and discussions from my interest sortie... i hate it when that happens... the person used the same title... but started a discussion in different interests... seems like a desperate cry for responses... but i did not even bother to read any one of the discussions...

I think I have seen this "friend" around. Well, at least a few minutes ago. I was going over the discussions from my interests to look for topics to respond to. I have seen these new discussions that had three to five words in them. I think there were about 10 or so few minutes ago under different interests. I really do not think you can do much about this. Ignore and delete would do but I believe he would just keep posting such discussions anyway.

I got so irritated that I went through my friends list a third time and finally found this person. Sorry to say I deleted them, but I'm not liable to answer to any of their discussions anyway.

theres actually a couple of new members doing that here lately..and it drives me nuts even though I dont have them on my friends list...Its annoying to have to wade through them all to get to decent threads
As far as finding them on your list goes..I THINK the newer added ppl are on the higher pages and the older added ppl are on the first pages in our friends list.

Seems to me myLot will see this and delete the discussions. I would think so anyway. Is this person new? If not you would think they would know that this is not exceptable to myLot and they probably will not get paid. If they do get paid it sure won't be much probably not even a penny per discussion if it is as you discribed. Gee all those discussions and I have not seen even one of them? I will have to check it out. Were not suppose to comment on discussions like this is that right?

It was my impression that mylot doesn't like discussions or responses with only three words. I don't know if we are supposed to comment or not. I did to one just to suggest that they add something more to what they are posting, but I have gone ignored.

This has been a time, but I would tell them just what you wrote here......that it is not what the site is all about. I can't imagine coming up with that many things to write about in that short time unless it's meanless junk anyway. I'm sure there are others who will be annoyed when they get the discussions in their mailboxes as well, although I don't know exactly how it works for them to get there.

They were all one line questions, with no merit or thought whatsoever. Anyone could have posted the same.

I had, but no longer have as have also deleted because they got upset that I hadn't answered to all of them! Try as I might I am always trying to play catch up with friends discussions and there are some I really don't know how to respond to as it is a subject I know nothing about. This would annoy me too. I have my notifications on so I don't miss too many but to be bombarded like this ridiculous. I have seen that you have noew managed to delete. I hope this is now resolved for you. Ellie :D

That would annoy me too, hope you can work out how to delete this person from your friend list. I would not like that many emails in my inbox. Besides do not understand why this person does not write quality discussions, don't they know that quality pays more then quantity which is the main reason he/she would be posting so much in so little time. Far better to spend time thinking about good discussions to write.

It is really annoying when it happens, but if you cannot find the person on your friends list, the thing that I would do is either just try telling them again and tell them if they keep doing it then someone will get fed up and report them in the end, and that if they are doing it because they think they are going to earn loads then they are sadly mistaken!! or else just delete the discussions from your emails as they come in.

wow! it's really ridiculous. maybe she/he is one of my friend here. i have also friend the posted many discussion in a couple of minutes which is copied from the internet. the worst thing is that before every discussion i post my comment but lately i found that many of his post was deleted, i experience dropping of earnings last week so maybe that person causes my earnings drop so now everytime i received notification from his post i delete it except the one that don't violate the guidelines.

I think you should just stop worrying about it. Who knows what this person's situation is. Perhaps they have financial difficulties and they are counting every penny or maybe they just have some stupid goal to make so many posts per day. You are probably not going to change their mindset, so don't waste your time worrying about what their doing. Enjoy the site and the people who do care about what they post.

how about not saying anything. how about if you don't like the fact that they are doing this don't reply to their post. take their email alert off.
what i don't get is why do people put so much engery into stuff they don't like. I mean wouldn't your engery serve you and the world better putting it to things you love and ejoy doing? i am just saying that things like that, which once you stand back and really look at them, are silly and not even worth talking about, or thinking about long enough to have the tought and let it go.
i read your pot and reply to most of them because you are just a sweet lady. so you should do the same, only post to and think about those people who help you smile and think and feel good

This is one of those things that really bugs me on here hun. Posting dozens of two or three word *discussions* with no thought whatsoever. I don't know why they bother really as sooner or later they will be deleted. I took the decision to switch off my email notifications as I got fed up with finding a full inbox every day and not always with the kind of notifications I really wanted to respond to.

I believe your this "friend" is a newbie? Perhaps he really does have the enthusiasm and let's not dampened his spirit. If I am not able to find this "friend", I would just mark the mail as spam or delete it and lol... I would not be seeing any more mails in my inbox.

Whoaa! That is a lot of new discussions in one person.
I can't even start making a new discussion for a week or so, sometimes, I can only make 1 or 2 discussions. lolz.
WEll, I would definitely feel the same way too if that person's discussion just contains 3-5 words in length...
If you tried to message that person already but didn't get any respond then he is not listening at all!
