Have you ever waved to someone...

I wave to everyone lol so I probably have waved to millions of people who have no clue who I am... not so much have I ever waved to someone to find out they were the wrong person but I have had someone cuss at me for waving lol... it was funny because they were trying to figure out where they knew me from but when they realized they didn't know me they asked me wtf I wanted it kind of scared me. lol

No but several times I have been about to reply to someone who says "Hi" or seems to be greeting me, only to realize they are speaking into a cell phone and not to me. Sometimes people wave at me and I have no idea who they are. I have also been greeted and then the person said sorry but I look just like someone they know.

No not me! Because I don't really pay attention to faces when I am walking or anything. Usually it's people who see me and wave at me or come up to me! Sometimes they said that I am so blind because even when they wave at me, I still don't see them!

I have waved and said many times to someone that I do not know because of my being near-sighted. I feel very embarrassed for this when I wave or greet the wrong person.

Hi dolce_vita! Oh goodness, too many to count too. haha.. And just like you, I feel kinda stupid and embarrassed. Couple of times, I waved at them and they just stare at me long and with that confused look! haha..Other times, when I thought it was really someone I knew, I would approach them and talk to them and what is funny is that we will have a conversation as if he/she knows me, and then I would realize this is not the person I knew. I will say I'm sorry, other times, I just cut the conversation and say, it's nice seeing you again. haha..Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

Oh yes that has happened to me. It is a little embarrassing most people will just wave back and keep on their way though and it makes them wonder if they know you but just can't remember where from.

Yes, I've done that! And yes, I felt rather silly! If someone did it to me.. I'd smile and wave back! I like it when the people are friendly enough to wave back! Either that or they think they know us too!

haha many times and isn't it embarrasing. Just as well it's been when they drove by in a car.

i have such experience. once i was riding a bike when i found one of my relative walking along the street. i stopped by her side and was about to say hello to her when i found it's not my relative but a stranger. i felt quite embarrassed.

Yes, I've done this a time or two in my life. It's funny how our mind will play tricks on us and we think we know somebody and it's not the person we thought it was. As I get older, I remember faces, but have a hard time coming up with the name of the person!

I have done this several times! Not only that... I practically jumped on someone thinking that I know him. It was really embarrassing! I guess most people commit this mistake. Perhaps because there are people who look alike. I don't know... Just maybe...
