I know it came out a while ago, but I didn't really have much interest in readin it until now. I just finished the book, and I found the meaning of the holy grail described in the book fascinating. I know the book is fiction, but I don't know much about the author, and how much of the info discussed in the book could be true. Can anyone share if the grail story is real or not, or debated about? xD

I've read it. I've also read The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, which is referenced in the book (the authors actually tried suing Dan Brown). The latter book is "factual" but some of its' facts are more a matter of opinion.

I did read the Da Vinci Code. It was a wonderful book. The story was well written and kept you guessing. The other thing I loved about this book is that it was obviously well researched and it is very thought provoking.

i didn't read the book, but i did saw the movie. And it kinda bored me. I know that most of the times, the book is better than the movie, but i wouldn't waste my time reading this book (yes, for me it would be a waste of time).

I really enjoyed this book and the movie they made of it. Dan Brown did a fantastic job of mixing history and fiction together. I think it is a very interesting view point on what the grail could be and it makes for an interesting mental exercise. No matter what the grail may or may not be I doubt we will ever know. That doesn't mean though we can't ponder and debate different possibilities. This book does give fodder to that and allows us to wonder. I happen to like different theories of such things. I enjoy taking a different view and seeing where it can lead us. This book enables one to do that. Whether you like it or not it offers us a possible explanation, I'm not saying it's accurate, just that it could be possible and that makes it fun.

I have to agree it's a superb book and I've read all of Dan Brown's books, check out his website www.danbrown.com for more information. With regards to the holy grail no one knows for sure what it is, most believe it's the cup from the last supper and some like believe it is the woman that signifies the cup. I doubt we will ever find the truth!

It has been completely debunked. It is nothing more than a fantasy, but a compelling one.

Yes, i read this book around 2 or three years ago... and i found it very interesting... and it is indeed a fiction... Dan Brown presented a controversial definition of the holy grail... that has been circulating for quite some time now... but no actual proof was given...

Nope never read it, I keep hearing it's good but what I know about what the books about makes it very low on my eventual 'to read' list. Really not up my general alley but maybe, eventually if I ever finish everything else I'm intending to read.

no only watched the movie and it was very good. If i liked to read and had time to I bet the book would explain things a little more. But if you haven't seen the movie, see it Tom hanks is a great actor.and does a terrific job is this movie.

I loved this book. I don't really know what I believe about the truth VS fictionality of it. I personally just love the mystery, suspense and drama of it all. Someone else mentioned Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" and I must agree it's really good.

I have read the book and i found it to be fantastic, i have always watched the film but i didnt rate that at all. I too found the description of the holy grail amazing and also the whole story, i think there could be many truths in this as we will never really know what is truth or not from that era but i think Dan Brown made a very beliavable story from his ideas and i think he is a fantastic author, try some of his other books they too are fantastic.

It is a good book, but Dan Brown himself will tell you it is fiction. A very good story. The movie is good too, but not as good as the book. I've read his other book "Angels and Demons" and it is good as well if you are looking for a new book to read. I hear they are bringing that out as a movie soon too.
