I have digital camera its Nikon brand with 8.5 Megapixel, the pictures are good ofcourse becuase of its high Megapixel feature. I can also use this digital camera like a camcorder. This camera is light and very easy to use. Actually I bough this camera not because I really want the feature but because I need to use this digicam to take pictures in my visit to Genting highlands.

I bought it in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for only 870 RM with 2GB SD Memory Card, Thats around 12,000 Pesos in my Country Money Philippines. So when we converted it to US Dollar it will be around 275 to 277 dollars. If you want to buy this kind of Digicam, try to ask for you warranty. Thank you.

I do have a digital camera and I have to say that it is excellent. However, as my computer also has a built in camera I haven't used it for a while. Now the battery is down on it so I have to work out how to recharge it. But it is so much better than fiddling around with films and you simply load the finished pictures on to the computer. It's wonderful. I hope you will be able to get one soon, You will see the big difference in taking and storing pictures.

I have an Acer digicam. I bought it at that time because it was dirt cheap and had tons of features. It does the job but when I want to do more creative photography, the camera just can't do it.
I'm planning to buy the Canon SX100. You can never go wrong with a Canon - they've been camera experts for years! Just ask any Canon user.
There are a lot of Canon models, and its availability depends on your area. Where do you plan to buy the camera?

Check out the Kodak z712.
Compact highly versatile camera in SLR-like body with huge and crisp zoom lens. Kodak z712 with 12X Optical zoom lens by Schneider. Multiple formats plus including video. Takes SD memory cards. Up to 8 MP hi-res capability.
My camera is the US version - z750 - major difference is my camera's body is both black and chrome instead of just black. I bought it three years ago for around $350.00 I can't remember exactly because I bought a bunch other items at the same time - case, extra batteries and charger, several SD cards, etc before leaving on a month long journey. This particular Kodak model is not actively for sale in the US anymore, but you can find close-outs in the $125-160 range.

I used to have an Olympus digital camera with 3x zoom. It worked fine for me. I just take simple pictures and do not really go for the artsy type of photos. It only had 3.1 megapixels which is just right for me too.

When you go in to buy a camera just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. I have a Sony Cybershot and okay with it. My hubby bought it for me for my birthday a couple years ago and back then it was almost $500.00 and we did our research as well. Now a couple years have passed by and I feel that the camera could've had better quality for what we paid for it. Some of the pictures are very blurry that we've taken, but all in all the camera is reliable. It has a video camera on it as well so we've made some great uses with this. It has a different type of battery which you can recharge but after you have it charged up, it will last for 200-300 pictures, unless you're doing videos but it still has quite a lifeline on it.

Some times we can't tell whether we buy that good camera or not and one of my friend faced same problem but he got back another one so i think you paid already 500$ so in my country i get some less amount than your amount.

My experience with digicam might not help you buy a good one. But I can say that I bought a 2MP camera five years ago. It is not a well known brand though. Branded ones were very costly then.So far it worked out well. But I am too planning to get a brand new camera with the experience I got with a 2 MP one. I prefer one with 10X optical zoom and 3X digital zoom with a minimum of 8 MP. There is a new model which is 10 MP & 5X optical zoom.I think I would go for this very soon.

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z612. It has 6 megapixels and 12x optical zoom. I love it! I bought another similar Kodak for my mom (actually, hers was the next level up from mine), and I still like mine much better. Pictures are sharp and clear, and the features are great and easy to use.
I have yet to find any digital camera I like better...but I would like to have a digital SLR sometime in the future.

This camera has NEVER given me any problems, and I have had it for going on 2 years now. My mother-in-law bought it for me for Christmas a couple years ago, and I think that she paid $290 for it.
I have taken pictures with it like crazy (I use it a LEAST twice a week for church/family functions) and it has been through lots of tough use and has not shown any signs of deterioration at all.

I have a SLR digital camera with automatic as well as manual features. The brand is a Panasonic FZ7 and it's quite expensive when I bought it. Now they have come out with a better model and the price is lower than when I bought mine. It all depends how serious a photographer you are. I would like to learn photography when I have the time but for now I would like to be able to take good quality photos quickly. This camera gives me both options so I'm very happy with my choice.

I have two digital cameras. My first one is a Canon Ixus 50, and it was the best! easy to use and clear, crisp pictures. I have no complaints with it.
My newest camera is a Sony cybershot T200. It has 8.1 megapixel, and touch screen. It's good but not as great as a Canon. And I find the touch screen function a bit un-friendly.
I would greatly suggest that you get a Canon. They have good cameras and the reviews are all true to its word. (Not that I dont like sony cybershot cameras... im just more happy with canon). Plus, its easier to use too.

Hi there, hope you are having a great time there. I also don't have a digital camera but I am really planning to buy one soon so that I would be able to capture images in precious moments of my life. Truly, it is such a great thing but we must always consider the quality so that it will last longer than what we are expecting. Besides, it would really be great and I am currently saving some of my money so that I could afford to buy one sooner or later. I am just so excited, hope you have a great time. Advance congratulations for you because you will be having a digital camera.

I have a Nikon Coolpics Camera . I have had it for about a year, and I have taken over 1,000 pics with it. Photography is one of my hobbies. This summer, I took some amazing Close-ups of flowers with it. It's an awesome camera. Better than any of the ones I've had so far, but Cannon cameras seem to take nice pics as well. I would go with the Nikon. The only thing I would NOT suggest the Nikon for is night photos. I tried these and they did not come out very well, even though the camera has several night options.
