Just a note of thanks to everyone here who over the past couple of months became my oasis in the desert. You helped me through a very tough time in my life as mother stayed in the hospital getting worse with the passage of time. She went home to be with the Lord today and so your discussions will go unanswered by me for a few days. I will be back in a few days, to pick up where I am leaving off, but with a big hole in my life. I answered a question a day or two ago that asked what was the worst day of your life, if whoever started that discussion is reading this, I would like to change that to today.

A lose is always the hardest thing to take because we feel cheated and left behind. When in fact it is as great of a gift as life is. We suffer for the lose of loved ones and especially as special as a mother. But there is a saying i always use and for some reason it always gives me peace in mind and in heart. It goes like this... She worked hard here on earth to provide and protect and suffered in pain to make pennies, and now she is walking on streets of gold and stepping stones of jewels never seen or imagined here where she left great memories behind for us to live on and always keep alive in our thoughts and our hearts. Now that is to live eternal... And as long as you keep her in your heart she will never part...My prayers go out to you and those she left behind, but what she left here for you always cherish and hold dear in your heart....

jer I want you to know first that I love you dearly. I have been slack on all things for the last week and half. I am having a hard time but try not to show it. I am carrying on slowly. Our oldest brother hurt me with some remarks a couple of days ago too. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with I guess because I had to sign those papers. I guess I will never get this feeling of killing her out of my mind. Daddy went quick and we didn't have to watch him suffer as we did Mama. I don't want to say good-bye I will say till I see you again. Thank ya'll so much for being there for Mama and my girls. You mean so much to them. I thank you for being there for me too. I love ya.

Just so you know, that decision was one that we all made, not you alone. Though we cannot see her for a while, she is more alive than she has ever been before. I will always be here, should you need to talk, or just need someone to harass you. Just give me a call.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, jer31558. At this time of sorrow for you and your family, God is wrapping his loving arms around you and is providing comfort. This is a time to celebrate her life and all that she meant to everyone she touched. I think she would want you to feel happy for her that she no longer suffers and is standing with God by his side. I know you must miss her, but she would want you to go on. You will meet with her again one day. Bless you and your family, Take care.

Yeah. Amen. I am always here on mylot. And I sympathized a lot. I just lost my maternal grandfather, due to his major sickness. Now that he is resting in God's care. I was so devastated definitely. I was so sorry for your loss, like I said in your earlier discussion. I am always there to answer your call. And I would definitely pray a lot always. I will definitely say a peaceful quiet goodbey to my grandfather. My paternal grandparents are already in Heaven. I really do miss them so much. They all touch my heart with their presence.

my very deepest condolences...to lose a mother is a terrible thing. our mom's are our first loves and our tower of strength. the place we learn to love and to give and to be. without them it seems the world is so much more lonely. i still have mine and i am 47. i worry about my son when i am no longer here because he is an only child and i know it will leave a huge whole in his life but i can only hope and pray i prepare him well and he has many to love him when the Lord calls me home. i am crying as i write this and my heart goes out to you. may you find comfort in others around you.

Jer, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother, and my heart goes out to you and your family. I lost my mum a couple of years ago, and I understand your sense of loss. Believe me, your mother will always be with you in spirit. Thank you for posting this discussion. What a beautiful gift to enable everyone who reads this to reflect on our own mothers and grandmothers, alive or passed. Thinking of you, Penny

Hi jer, So sorry to hear of your loss, it is always a very difficult time. Remember that your mom is now free of any pain and take comfort in that. Cry your tears, it is a very important part of grieving. Blessings.

Thanks Pose, and that is one thing that had made everything somewhat bearable. I watched what she went through for over two months. To know she doesn't ever have to hurt again is relief in itself.

jer31558 I am sorry to hear about your mother. My prayers go to you now to heal and live one day at a time from your loss. It takes a lot of time but at least your mom is not suffering any longer. yes I image today would qualify for the worst day of your life. my love and hugs for you.you will always miss her but this pain right now will grow less over time I know as I lost my husband back in 1991 and it took time but now there is no pain only the missing, that will be there always.take care.

And thank you for being there as well, we all had moments when we had strength to lend, and also times when we needed a shoulder to lean on. I would say thank you for being my niece, but I don't think you had much choice there. I will say thank you for the smiles you bring to everyones life...and just remember, we aren't always laughing at you sometimes we are laughing with you. You have the personality that often puts a smile on the face of others.

Jer31558, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I know how close your family is and how much she meant to each of you. I will never know, however, the grief each of you will be feeling nor will I be able to understand the void left behind in your lives. No one will know how you feel, but many, including myself, will be here for you in any way we can be. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and if you need anything feel free to let me know...you have my number.
