I actually type, as a matter of fact, my nephew has quite a time when he comes for a visit and wants to use my computer, since the letters have pretty much all worn off the keys.. (or at least all the most frequently used ones)

My nephew is a grown man..lol.. late 20's I think... he is a good boy, and he just makes a face and tries to remember where the letters were.

I am actually pretty good at typing. NOT perfect. But mostly good. See all this and only looked at the keyboard once, and backspaced 2 times.

yes, i can type pretty well and pretty fast, too. i guess having taken piano lessons helped me a lot -- made my fingers flexible and enabled me to get around the keys rather comfortably.

wonderful! i've had no regrets. for one, it really helped develop my typing skills. i don't have to look at the keyboard anymore, so that really saves me time.

I am a 46 year old woman. If I didn't look at the key board I don't know what this reponse would say. That's bad because I took a typing class in high school and in college. I admit I looked thru your responses before I decided to answer. I needed to know how much of a fool I'd look like telling you I can't type without looking at the keys but what the heck I'm being honest

I learned in school too, but I stil find myself looking at the keys sometimes and I even type with one finger ever now and then. It drives me crazy to that. lol
Now my husband is a one finger typer and he can never find the keys. I want to just type it for him. It makes him mad so I have to do other things while he is on.

Thank God, I learned to type in high school and it's sure helped throughout the years. I can type pretty quickly and acurately. Any parents out there, insist that your children learn to type while they are young. It is needed almost daily throughout a lifetime and now, with computers, they will be at a great disadvantage if they do not know how to type.

I do know how to type. Learning at school on the 'out dated' typewriters did wonders. Our teacher had all the keys covered with first aid tape the second week. That was the one week that I one fingered my way to learn to type. Talk about sweat............. and yea it is funny with those one finger typists but hey---we were all there at one point. practice practice

Yes I can type, but I do not type in the correct manner. I don't start with the homerow keys. I use both index fingers and both thumbs. I do type pretty fast though.
