Update On My Mom

Sorry to keep so many of you waiting!! I've been so beside myself with worry because Mom wasn't doing so well there for a few days. It seemed she was going down hill once again. She slept so much and was labored in her breathing that we kind of lost hope but today she was wide awake, for the most part, and was trying to talk to me!! I was so estatic to see her in a better way than she was for the past few days! Her lungs are full of flem again but the nurses are getting her to cough it up so they can suction her mouth and throat, they had gotten a blood clot as well so there's a lot of blood in the container. The doctors are going to put in a endotracheal tube in her throat on Wednesday so it will be easier to suction out her lungs and throat.
Dad was so happy to hear that she tried to talk to me. He wasn't there during this visiting hour because he's so worn out and had to stay home and rest but he told me that he heard some noise outside and went to look out the window and found 5 people outside with lawn mowers cutting his grass!! He's so awed about how sweet and thoughtful his friends are!! How cool is that?! LOL So all in all, it's good news so please keep up with the prayers for God is hearing each and every one of them!! Thanks so much!! I love you guys!!

Hopefully she will continue to improve a a fast rate. It was great of his friends to do that for your dad. Hopefully they will keep doing nice things and help keep his spirits up.

Thank you!! Me too!! Oh gosh, meeee too!! lol I'll tell ya, I have more grey hair now than I ever had before and they have her name on them!! LOL But you know that I'll love each and every strand when and if she makes it through.... ((((hugs))))

I don't mind at all.... she had a stroke in the brain stem. Most people who've had this kind of stroke don't make it to the emergency room. Mom did. Doctors are baffled over her situation because she is still alive and trying to talk. It affects the vocal cords, gag reflux and swallowing, her nervous system and some mental as well. She's doing better however yesterday she wasn't doing all that good but then again, now that I've thought things over after seeing her today, we're to expect a few set backs between her leaps and bounds that she's making. I just pray that with physical therapy she'll be able to regain most of what she's lost. Not all I'm sure but hopefully most of it.

Oh Honey it has been a real rollercoaster experience for you all hasn't it? So sorry that you were worried about your mum going downhill again and so relieved that she seems to be doing much better now! Of course you are all still in my prayers and will continue to be there as long as is needed! Hugs xxx

Oh I know about the power of prayer!! I do so know that!! I've had a few bumps and bruises with life and asked God to help me and He did!! And now with so many of you praying for my mom is doing so much wonders for her and I can't thank you all enough!!!! It feels so good to be blessed with so many wonderful friends!!!!
Don't worry about me and that nasty email, I'm so over it now but gosh I was so angry that I could've spit nails and they'd hit the wall and stuck!! lol I'm so over it because I know I have to consider the source. Thanks for being there for me hon. Love you too!!

Oh my gosh...what wonderful neighbours. This deed must make your family feel pretty good. It's practically reduced me to tears. I'm so sad you are all going through this. It must be so difficult and it sounds so awful for your Mum. I hope you are giving each other lots of hugs. Try to keep smiling sweety. Think about the positives as much as you can. Big hugs to you.

I am so happy to read this! I had been wondering and was honestly beginning to think things weren't going well at all. And your Dad's friends do sound very sweet also. I'm glad you are all receiving little bits of joy right now!

Oh yes!! Bits of joy!! I'll take any at this moment in time but gosh... I just pray that it keeps up on the up and up!! I expect a few set backs (now) because it is a steep up hill climb but thanks to you all praying for her, it's giving her all the more strength to climb this darn hill!! I tell her every day about the responses I've gotten and still getting and she just smiles from ear to ear!! Thank you so much for all your prayers!! They're helping her so much!!

Ohh I am so very happy. I keep up with your updates and I am glad that your mother is doing so much better. She is stronger than she feels. I'm keeping her in my prayers, everyday. I also keep you and your family in my prayers. Yes, God is listening, God knows what he/she is doing. I wish you all nothing but wonderful blessings and good wishes and thoughts. Keep us updated. I hope to read more wonderful news about your mom.

Yeah she is a strong woman, that's for sure. Before she fell ill, she was such a busy body, always into something. She was never still unless she was playing a game on the computer which did her a world of good because it seems she may have some set backs but she's giving a good climb with this up hill battle!! But thanks to all the wonderful prayers that all of you have been giving, it's helped her to climb even better!! Thanks so much!! I really mean that!! Thanks SO much!!

Nice to hear from you CatsandDogs, it sounds like your Mum is a real fighter and that is definately good to hear. And how lovely that your Dads friends are helping out like that, it is truly lovely!!
