I love reading very much, and I once did a lot of reading. however, since I changed a school, I just went to the libriary once. it is so small, and the book there are so old and out of date. I have to do my reading online. at the first few days, it is very convinent to read online. while, later, I found my eyes were hurt, I have to give up the new habit, and went to other book stores to look for the books. so which one do you like to do your reading, online or on paper?

I prefer to read books on paper. It is less eye tiring and one more thing i can carry them whereever i go so i can even read them while travelling or just before bed. But nowadays i need to read books n net because its not possile to purchase each and evey book, so i ry to read whatever possible on net. For examples the reference books thta i need to do by project work ta=hey cost a lot so better i read them online which almost free of cost and then forget it or take the print out of the most important pages.

I am much into reading novels and engineering books and dont like to spend much on them as they are very expensive so i go for ebooks.I think they are wonderful, without paying a single penny you can read the whole book or even take its printout, even that costs less than the original book.

yes, it is very convinent to read novels on internet, it is cheap, and many choice for you. while, as i know, the books about engineering or other majors are very few in the e-books library. i don't know why, maybe it is because there already are many papers about such majors.

Hello redkey,
I prefer to read books rather then reading online. Typically i read short articles online but if its a novel it has to be a book. Sitting for too long on the pc is harmful for my back.

It would be paper.
I still prefer the real books with pages made from paper.
I do read things online but for long, sustained content, I prefer the real paper books.

I was a great reader before I had a computer. I read books, newspapers, magazines, all kind of written papers. Since the web exist and I have a computer my reading has decreased a lot. I still love buying books, promising myself I'll read them very soon. But the fact is I have a growing pile of unread books. I think the solution would be my computer broke down and I could not find a technician who could repair it for a long time. :)

many times we need to make a plan for our daily life, especialy when we work long time on computer. I believe that computer sometimes did make things convinent, while at the same time, it cost a lot of time. we just waste time in surfing without do anything worthwhile.

I love to read, but I rather read the book instead of online. And you're right reading online does hurt your eyes. Since I went to school, I have to do all my reading online, after awhile I walk away with a headache. I'll stick to a paperback book.

i love reading also. =)i'm a book lover so i prefer to read on paper. i can just lie or sit and just relax. but there are also articles that i prefer to read online because i can get a lot of information from the net. and usually, if i don't understand or if there are some places, events, groups etc that im not particularly aware of, the net comes in handy also. =)

i like both. but i think if you're a real reader, no doubt your eyes will suffer as you age. in my case whenever i read online, i try to adjust my monitors' brightness. and whenever i'm done reading whether online or on paper, i always follow my grandmas advice not to wash my face immediately.

Hi. As much as I like being online for all kinds of reasons, to me, reading online will never replace the real thing. I have always been and avid reader, and I like to be as comfortable as possible when I do so. I can't seem to get comfortable enough readling online. Even if I'm propped up and the laptop is in my lap.(smile)

I love reading, and I 've the same experience too.Books in our school library are too old and little.I 've a wide interest,so if I choose every book which I wanna read from the library,it would cost a lot of time. And if you read a lot by buying books, you must pay more.So I found the files on the Internet is so much and various.I really love reading on learn, but I know it can do harm to my eyes, and I had already be very near-sighted before I started to reading on line.So I must be very careful to keep my eyes from deeper harm when I reading online.

Definitely on paper, I hate reading on the screen especially ebooks. I work on computers all day so probably not the best idea to use my social time reading on them also. I prefer to read in bed so it would be quite hard!

I read too much for my own good! I am a University student so beyond reading the endless textbooks and articles i'm required to for my classes, i'm always reading a pleasure novel. I read while I walk, eat, bath, etc.
I am also a writer, so naturally I read a lot to further my writing abilities, as well as reading my own work.
That being said, I nearly always read in print. I find reading off of a computer screen hurts my eyes.
However, for all of those people that like to read ebooks, Sony has just solved their sore eyes problems. The new E-Book reader is so cool! I saw it at Sony Style the other day and was really impressed by the way they've greated an E-Book "holder" that can hold up to 160 e-books and has screen technology that is easy to read off of. It's almost as if they've eliminated the backlight involved in computer screens. The 'screen' looks like paper. If you like reading e-books, you should really look it up!

It looks like I'm in the minority, but I prefer books on the computer. With a laptop, I can take them with me if needed or read them in bed. I also get the advantage of being able to run searches on the text. This is really useful with reference types of books.

I like reading too. But I have the same problem with you that the libriary is very small in our company, and I can not find the books that I want. So I need to search on the net, and read the books online.
As you said, that brings a new problem, reading online hurts eyes and also induce neckache. So now, I always download the file to my cell phone to read the books. That will not hurt so much.
But anyway, I like read on paper most.

I definitely will never be able to sit down and read a novel at my computer screen. It just seems wrong!
The wrongness of electronic books aside, there's way too many other distractions available for me when I sit in front of a computer screen that I would never get a second of reading done!
