I watched a movie in the theater last night. That was a really violent movie. There seemed to be one killing about every ten minutes. I began to get a bit sick of it long before the end. I'm wondering why are so many movies so full of violence? Maybe because violence is good box office ?But I don't like violent movie anyway. It's so cruel and I don't think it has a positive impact in our life, especially for the kids. Some get lost in them and act really weird ,even get their personality twisted. Well the next movie I go to see will be romantic comedy which makes me happy and love more.

yes i agree violent movies earn more than the romantic one. film makers are after of the earnings not the lesson that people learned from their film. i also dismayed with this kind of movies but almost all masses are fully support of this kind of film. would you mind if what is the title of that film you watched?

i agree with you. In china , there is no movie class. All the movies can be watched by any king person. For exzample, the children always can watch violent movies. But in west countries there are movie class.i think china can learn this from other countries.

I too, don't like violent movies. They give me headaches. I can't stand watching the way people are being killed in such movies. It could also give bad people an idea on how to revenge and kill. Violent movies are not healthy to watch. We watch movies to enjoy and entertain ourselves, so i think it's entertaining to watch funny and inspiring movies that will put a smile on our faces and in our hearts.

I don't mind violent movies as long as it is realistic and it serves a purpose. I don't watch violence for the sake of liking violence. As a matter of fact... I don't like the use of violence in real life. I am more like your diplomat or negociator. But many movies depict real life... and as someone already said... people are violent and sometimes worse. I watched an excellent movie last night "Tears of the Sun" with Bruce Willis. Lots of violence towards the ending... but the movie is trying to inform people that violence is a reality... and it is foolish to pretend that it does not exist because some artificial law made it not politically correct.

I don't like violent movies at all. There are so many better ways to portray violence than splashing blood and gore about the screen

I know people who really want watching violent movies. They might just want something new. Violent movies are now rampant on televisions and the Internet. Anyway, we can't avoid it because it happens in real life. Being in our real life, it can't be avoided to not talk or present it on media. I have a comment on cartoons like Tom & Jerry. The characters are cartoons and it is obviously for children. But it should be not for children because the practical jokes and the things done by Tom & Jerry are violent when done in real life like pulling something to harm the other...

I definitely don't think kids should see violent movies. And I hate horror movies, with a lot of gore just for the sake of gore. But for older teens and adults, I think it depends on the plot and the message of the movie. I mean, Hamlet is an extremely violent piece of work, but I would let teens see it. When the violence is realistic and glorified, that is bad. But war movies like Apocolypse Now or The Thin Red Line have a good point to make.

I heard somewhere some time back that by the time a child reaches adulthood, due to the violence on tv and the movies, they will have witnessed over 100,000 murders. We tend to watch pretty carefully what our children watch. There's a lot of violence in the movies and tv, perhaps thats why I watch so little tv.

I don't like violent movies either, and I only watched few. In my mind, most girls and ladies don't like such kind of movies, but the man like. So I hope the directors of violent movies will add some soft things to their movie if they do want to make that kind of movies.

As long as the violence compliments or furthers the plot line and isn't just there to be gratuitous, I don't have a problem watching it. But movies like "hostel" and whatnot that are just violence for the sake of violence not only repulse me, but it sort of scares me that a crazy person may be watching it and getting ideas.

Hmmmm.... well scary movies give SOME people a certain rush of thrill and excitment. Other movies, such as Scary Movie is a scary, funny, parody of many movies, people, and celebrity all packed in a jammed exciting film, which is wh they have such popular ratings. Well, for one thing I HATE scary movies. I've watched alvin and the chipmunks, which was great! and Mr. Beans Holiday, which was hilarious. If you guys wanna watch those, go here: www.hotmoviez.blogspot.com

I personally like violent movies. They don't change the way I am, and don't make me do weird things or think about doing those cruel things to anyone else. I guess it all depends on the person. Not everyone is like that, and a lot of the time, it is not the media's fault when a person turns out the way they do. People should know that it is just movie magic, and the things that happen in movies aren't real.

There are too many violent movies around these days -and I believe it's because that's what makes them the money A little mild violence is ok, but it gets ridiculous I think
