How sad is this? Kids go out skateboarding and they are choked and attacked by cops and it was all caught on tape, here's the link:

One was a female and she was choked as well. Isn't there a law against abusing women? Oh, you're so tough attacking a young girl who hasn't done anything!
Cops make me so furious these days! I just can't stand how they get to walk all over people and get to abuse their authority and no one above them does anything to stop them. If this keeps up, whatever freedom we have left in this country will be gone. What do you all think about this?

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one, my friend.
We did not see the beginning so we don't know how it started- so for either of us to judge completely isn't really fair. But, that said, I'll do it any way...this is what I saw.
It *looks* as though they were skateboarding on the sidewalk or other property and there is, apparently, a city ordinance regarding that (I believe they have them here, too, and here the city has created a couple skating parks for the kids). After being approached by the officer, it *looks* like the kids got feisty as he said at least one resisted arrest. (Which we can only assume occurred after they had been told of the violation...but who knows). At any rate, we eventually saw two run, and it is important to note that the one who was 'manhandled' the least (the cameraman) simply did what he was told and RESPECTED the officers authority even though he believed him to be overreacting. Even his questioning remained an even tone and he didn't get obnoxious about it.
Being a police officer is an extremely dangerous job and 90% of the time they are dealing with dangerous people...even teens these days cannot be underestimated. Once you show you are not willfully submitting, they will respond and raise the degree to which they do...to not do that puts them at risk of injury or worse.
I am NOT implying IN ANY WAY that police brutality doesn't occur. I have seen it happen. I am NOT saying he did or did not use "excessive force" in this video especially since we couldn't see the beginning. But, I did not see a glaring abuse of power on this one. What I did see more than that, to be honest, is kids once again not following the rules, then being rude, disrespectful, and not doing what they're told by an authority figure.

Ok, I MOST DEFINITELY have to disagree. Ok, so maybe the cops reasons for trying to arrest them were justified but it is plainly obvious that he used force that was not necessary. I didn't see these kids doing anything that would justify him using the force that he did. I only saw one kid run.
Plus, the girl and her friend were walking with the cop, who was holding onto their friend and walking with them and then he said "And you too are in trouble" or something around those lines and she simply walked a few steps foward and he grab her around the neck with such force that was not necessary. Especially toward one who was not making any violent moves.
In m y opinion, this cop was abusing his authority and showing off for the crowds. If it were my child he did that to, I would come down on his butt so hard that he would be fortunate to even have a badge afterwards. No, i'm sorry this incident was not even remotely justified....

That is ok...we can agree to disagree on this one...I hope!!
That is why jury's have 12 people to look at things...different people can look at the same thing and see something completely different. It is amazing sometimes...but very true as you and I have just demonstrated...lol

TOO FUNNY! I just noticed that this interest category of 'cops' is under the category of "health issues that concern me. HAHA- that certainly can be the case sometimes!

i condemn the act of the cops, the youth did skateboarding how come they attacked them with nothing done wrong with the community except having fun with friends. it's ridiculous act of many cops now, abusing power of authority is not fair. if the cops in our country do like what they did, they will not live long.

Yes, it is ridiculous and it's sad that these are the men set forth to protect us. It's really sad!
