i received a private message this morning and i felt very frustrating. One of mylotter, requested me to be her friend, of course i never deny/reject any request here. when she can now send a private message to me, she didn't even ask anything that we can normalize the situation or ask some good question about me, how i become a member of mylot?, how long i am engaging this business? instead, what she did, it was his first message for me, she sent me referral links and directly say "if i want to earn money, i will register under this link and so on, the referral link she give is the site that i considered scam. i am upset with the message. i also found that she is newbie here and have a total number of 14 post. how did you handle like this case?

Hello, the same thing has happened to me before on a couple of occassions. I think it is really rude to just send your referral link. I think it is fine after you have talked to that person before and made friends with them. It really frustrates me when people do that, I just ignore those messages now. I used to reply and say sorry I am not interested. BTW I am grateful you sent me your referral links, but you did ask me questions about myself aswell, so it's all good.

Just politely reply by saying thanks but no thanks since you are not interested. You know, she might just have been forwarding the link forwarded to her by someone. There's no need to feel bad about it and it might be appreciated by her if you advised her about the dangers of the site.

There are too many good people here on myLot to get a scammer as a friend. This is not a friends this is just someone who wants to use you. I would just delete them from my friends list and not give them another thought.

it's ok if she makes friend first before sending her referral link but she not.

I read about her discussion earlier. Then I added her to think that she is just new here. Then she gave me the link. I guess the site she gave is a real scam. You know, we have to download the program in our pc and let the program run, Even without our knowledge. I guess I have to delete her from my list...

so basically what your say is that she is indeed trying to spam you with a referral link. well just tell her that you don't need the link and get in tuned with the site a lil bit more!

JulyTeen, I personally wouldn't give TWO CRAPS if she was upset with me for telling her not to spam me! SHE is the one spamming you, and causing you to feel upset - it's HER fault for getting reprimanded - not yours! If she does get upset with you, then delete her - who needs her and who needs her spam?

I'd also like to add that it's her fault for not reading the rules and regulations before posting. If she had done this, she would have known she was violating the rules and regulations. If she would have done this to me, I would have reported her to MyLot and had her banned! I can't stand people who spam.

This type of thing has happened to me in the past, but it is a long time ago. My action at the time was simply to remove the person as a friend in order to stop any further messages. This member is obviously trying to use Mylot for easy referring, which will not work and I expect the member to disappear quite soon.

I have accepted all of my friends requests also. I have only had a few of them so far to spam me with their referral links. I just don't mess with or reply to those types of messages. I read it and go on about my business. I hate to be spammed and when I don't ack for information, I wish they would not send it to me. It makes me feel like they only wanted to be friends so they could send me their referral links.

Hi, if you mylot "friend" bothers you, just delete him/her from your friend's list. It is as simple as that. You will get no more messages. You don't have to get upset about it. Cheers and happy mylotting.

somewhere in time - movie poster
I have had the same experience. I don't hate them for doing this. However, it would have been better if at least they have been friendly enough to ask me how I was doing and if I was interested in joining other sites that could help me earn extra. I have noticed that more and more new members are doing this. What I do is to ignore the message. At times, I just reply to their message and say thank you.

I am so sorry for the picture uploaded here. It was supposed to be in another discussion. I do not know why it is here though... This is not the first time it happened to me. I think the third or fourth. I do not know what is wrong. I have been adding pictures to other discussions and they appear in other discussions. I am really sorry.

julyteen when I get somethinglike that I ask this newbie to please read the rules as I did when I first joined my lot so you wont get your responses and discussions deleted.you will lose points if deleted and all of your friends will lose points if they responded.

i think that you can ignore her on line, such as the message that she sent it to you as a junk message, just keep away it from her.

Ignore it and her message, entirely. Don't sign up under her, as her referral... Simply leave it alone.

it is annoying when we receive PM like that from our friends here... it is like we had been scammed... especially if that is the newbies doing that... they just have to read the rules and regulations in mylot before they join and start sending referrals... take care and have a nice day...

You should just ignore it. I get tons of messages like this and I am pretty numb already. Try to put yourself in their shoes. They are probably just trying to make some money from referrals. Either you be nice and sign up under them if you want or just ignore them. Don't let them spoil your day. Cheer up!

Well you just have to move on , i do get such kind of messages a lot and i just dont even check the links. I delete such kind of messages and to be frank i am not too much interested in these online earning stuff. A newbie or an oldie doesnt make difference to me unless i know them for a while and we are friends.

Just tell her that you are not interested on her referral links and that you are upset about the way she sent you the referral link. I think she will understand. She thought maybe since this is an earning online site everybody loves to join everyone pay site. So far I have not received any unsolicited mail from my PM. Most of them are greetings or request which is very good . I also will ask first my friends if they are interested in any sites I want to offer them. If they are not interested, it is useless to go on.

If were in your shoes, I would quickly remove her to my friends list. She is just using this site to promote her other sites. This is what I call a scam. I don't usually entertain this kind of messages. I just ignore them. I have received a lot of messages of this kind in our other site,(you know where it is), I will not waste my time reading this kind of messages.
