I love bananas and so do my kids. I tend to make about a million things using them.
banana bread
banana pudding
banana and peanut butter sandwiches
a dessert that uses bananas, chocolate pudding, and angel food cake
banana pancakes
banana in our cereal
So, what do you use bananas for in your house??

I used to not eat bananas at all unless it was in a ice cream Sunday. But that changed a few years ago when I was suffering severe leg cramps that would bolt me up in the early morning hours. I read something somewhere about potassium and bananas as a possible remedy. So I began a one a day bananas program and haven't had a single episode since....the only thing is now I have this desire to swing from tree to tree....hmmmmm time for a 'naner sandwich!

Oh yeah, I ate bananas like crazy when I was pregnant because of all the leg cramps. There were a couple leg cramps that made me sound like I had gone in labor! lol

Using bananas to replace sugar and shortening is a great idea!!

You've pretty much named a lot of them. I also like to eat bananas straight up. I also eat banana chips and fried bananas. I think I've had banana cream pie and I've put bananas in my oatmeal. There was something else that I eat with bananas, but I can't remember it right now. It was something with custard.

If use them on time we eat them plain or in a bow of Cheerios. Every once and a while I will make up a peanut butter and banana sandwich. If I buy too many and they get all bruised and mushy I will make some banana bread. I also have a really good recipe for banana crumb muffins. I have only made them twice but both times they were excellent. I love that you can use the over ripened bananas that would normally be thrown away and they work better in a recipe than the fresh ones.

I agree.. even though the fruit goes bad quickly, it can still be used. Actually, my kids love to eat them soon after they have started turning because they are much sweeter...they just can't do it when they get to ugly looking, lol. Banana crumb anything sounds delicious!

I like to slice them in a bowl with and put sugar and milk on them. No cereal - just bananas. Something my dad used to do, but I don't know where he got it from. I just like them like that better than any other way.
