When hanging clothes we always use clips to prevent our clothes slipping off from the hangers or lines or rails.
I like to buy fancy clips with lower price when there are on sale. I love colorful plastic clips as they look so cute, lovely and always make me feel pleasant when hanging clothes. The fancy clips with different colors and shapes always make my chore not so tedious as well.
My hubby likes using the wooden clips to hang his wet painting on the window panes for drying. How about you, my dear friend?

I do not have any preference for the type of clips. As long as it is able to hold the cloths to the hanger firmly. But adorable pegs could cheer our day up with its cute appearance. I used to be using the wooden pegs, and found that they do last long as those plastics one. Further more, fungus will grow on the wooden clips if they were left in damp place for sometime. Ever since I have bought my dryer, I never use these pegs anymore for my laundry.

I observed that too. The spring of the wooden pegs got loosened easily and it's annoying. I have a mug of mixed pegs (both plastic and wooden). Now they are covered with dust and cob-web because I no longer need them to hold the clothes to the hanger. I just need a very small number of them to hold the papers and bills. Besides, I use them to hold the plastic bags opening. You are most welcome and have a nice day too!

You know my husband likes to use those wooden pegs so very often I could find broken pegs in the container or somewhere around. Hehe ... he is very fond of just putting the unwanted stuff simply wherever he is then. I usually collect them and cut the wooden parts into small pieces. I then mix them together with the leaves, grasses, rotten fruits and leftover to make compost for my plants.
Happy posting and have a wonderful Sunday.

You are right, dear cheongyc, the main purpose of the clip is to hold the clothes firmly on the hanger. I notice that not all the plastic clips break easily and some could last ever longer. Other than the disgusting fungus, I find the springs of the wooden pegs do split out easily and the peg break into two, of course couldn’t be used anymore. Yeah, people using dryer don’t use pegs but you could use the lovely fancy pegs to hold your paper cards or bill etc. Happy posting and have a lovely night.

I do not hang clothes on a line. Can you believe that a clothes line is not allowed within our city limits?
But I have some of the cute plastic clips with magnets on them that I use on my frig.

Of course, I believe your saying totally. My husband’s sister lives in a town in a neighbor country. The inhabitants of the tall building there in that area are not allow to hang their clothes in the lines as this would make the buildings there look rather weird with all sorts of colorful clothes. Happy posting and good luck.

Hi there, other than its main purpose to clip the clothes, I did see the teacher in the class using those colorful plastic clips to hold pieces of attractive teaching pictures of animals and plants on the lines in the classroom. I saw this when visiting my kid during his school hours.

Oh I see. I see that you do your laundry via dryer. Right? That'll still be great if you do laundry and airdry them outside in the sun. That will save energy the dryer will use. Right?

Yeah, my kid did like to play with the clips as well during his childhood. I kept my fancy clips in a container before or after using them. Very often I found my container was empty. Later on I noticed that my kid was playing with the colorful clips. He used the clips to design various sorts of shapes and carried on his imaginative games. Kids like playing with colorful objects and I believe it is a form of learning. Happy posting and have a nice day.

I only found the straight plastic one in my markets. so i always use them. I would like to try the wood one. looks strong. My plastic clips always broke when it's under the sun for too long.

You are right dansinta, I do find plastic pegs couldn’t last longer if expose too often under the severe sunlight. So for you it is rather better to use the wooden ones.
The clothes I put on the hangers are just fresh from the washing machine so they are not as wet as those hand washed ones. I just hang them under the eaves so my plastic clips don’t break easily.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

Hi youless, I agree with you, female users always pick the beautiful stuff if we have the choices. I do dislike the wooden ones as if they are wet for longer time then we would find those black spots of fungus growing on them. This always makes the clips look disgusting. So of course we always pick the clean, dry and beautiful one. Happy posting and good luck.

We have been using the colorful plastic clips for hanging our clothes for many years now. They are both cheap and effective. We don't buy them because of the color. We buy them because they can do the job well enough for us. Besides when we need more clips and we go to the supermarkets, these plastic clips are very commonly sold and so it is convenient to buy them.

We know the history of the wooden clip is very much longer than the plastic one. The creative designers always try their best to improve the plastic products and make them more and more fancy and attractive. These lovely clips make our laundry chore not as tedious as before when hanging clothes. Happy posting and enjoy life.

I don't hang laundry very often. But I use the wooden clips. I can purchase a bag of 50 of them for $1. That is at our local dollar store. They are useful as clips for holding chip bags closed. And my daughters pre-school class used them in some of their craft projects.

Yeah, it is convenient indeed to hold the chip bags with clips instead of using rubber bands for this purpose. I do like to hold the bills and slips with important particulars with these lovely fancy clips. I do notice that kids here in primary school use wooded clips in their handcrafts as well. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Yeah, clips made from different materials have got their different lovely looks. Since both of the wooden and plastic clips are available in the market so both of them do have their faithful fans respectively. You are very much welcome and happy to see you dropping by.

Happy posting and have a wonderful Sunday.

When hanging my washing outside on my washing line, I really like to be natural and use wooden pegs. If they break you can reclcye them. I do like the wooden ones best. The plastic ones tend to break more easier. I have never seen bamboo pegs.
I know that where I live wooden pegs are cheaper as well.

Hi there, well, I couldn’t deny saying that using wooden clips is friendlier to environment. I did find plastic clips to break easily but for certain type only. I had bought a few dozens of bamboo clips during my trip to china few years back. There were lots of bamboo products found in there, liked chopsticks, pen and brush holders, coin saving cylinder and clips etc. Yeah, wooden clip is cheaper than the plastic one in my place as well. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Hi there, lucky that I haven’t come across this. It is really disgusting to see our clothes spoiled by the colored stain left by the clips. I believe some of the colored clips might be not genuine so they would leave marks on our clothes. Take care and happy posting.
