When did you take a Bath?

I know this is silly, for asking but I haven't took a bath in a week. That is because I take Showers everyday. One thing about a bath, It is very relaxing and if you are stress out it is good for you, a long hot bath, just soaking in the Tub is very relaxing to me. But the only thing about it, I don't like how the Tub sits low, it is hard for me to get up. Then I like to go buy the Bubbles Baths they have. I even use dishwashing liquid if I don't have anything else to use. So tell me what you do? do you like taking baths instead of Showers? Some people even like to burn Candles while taking a Bath. I notice that older people don't like to take baths as much? It is true. I use to work for Seniors and they didn't like to take baths a lot. Some people say when you take Baths everyday or Showers you wash all the oils out of your skin? I still take them everyday though. I just use lotion. Ok. Really isn't it relaxing to take baths?

It has been a few years since I have taken a bath. I use the shower all the time. I like to take showers better than baths. It is much easier to wash your hair in the shower than in a bathtub.

i would shower instead of taking a bath because it is much faster and you still end up clean. But sometimes takng a bath is also a good choice. Maybe to relax

I take many baths as they help relax the little one inside me. I love to grab a good book and just chill in my bath. I sometimes use bath salts. It can wash the oils but if you put a little baby oil in before hand it wont and it feels nice too.

That's nice, yes a Bath is very relaxing. But be careful while you are taking a bath, especially when your stomach gets bigger I wouldn't want you to fall and hurt you and the baby.

It has been a while since I have enjoyed a relaxing, leisurely bath. Just like you, with regards to my lifestyle, I find it more practical to just take a quick shower everyday. At night, I have always something to do I don't have the time to soak in the tub. When I do get the chance, I want to do it with all the works..like some lit candles, some soothing background music, complete with some nice bubbly scented bath gel. The water will be hot, and I will soak usually up to thirty minutes. Unfortunately, this has become a luxury in my current busy schedule.

I think it's been probably at least a few months since I've taken a bath. (that sounds so awful! ) I always take showers instead of baths, mostly just because it saves me a lot of time when I'm getting ready for work or school in the morning. Since I always bathe in the morning, I like not having to get up as early to run the bath water and everything. I do love to take a bath though every now and then. It is a really good way to relieve stress after a long day. I especially love to take bubble baths! I have also noticed that older people seem to not like to bathe as much. I always wondered if it was just because it is a little more difficult for them or something else. I also shower every day, but I just have to use a ton of lotion since my skin naturally gets really dry.

I take a bath everyday. I love sitting in steaming hot water and relaxing as I get ready for my day. If I do take a shower I feel rushed the entire day. I know that sounds silly but it is what it is*L* I love soaking in the tub everyday!

Been a while. I prefer showers. You get cleaner in a shower. I generally save baths for soaking in with a sore back. Then after i rinse in the shower anyway. Not too much time to relax with a 5 year old running around.

I take a bath each and every night before bedtime. I have never really liked showers, except in the summer when it's really hot out, and then I'll sometimes shower in the morning and at night too. I don't like showers because I get really cold in the short time between shutting the water off and getting dressed lol. Part of the coldness is from my circulation problems, and I find a bath not only relaxing to my muscles, but leaves me feeling warm. If I'm not warm at bedtime, I never fall asleep because no matter how many blankets, I never get warmed up lol. I use lotion too, but I very rarely use bubble bath stuff. It's true about a daily bath/shower removing the essential oils on our skin, but I find that with use of a lotion I don't have a problem with it.

Yeah, there's a Bath and Body Works out by the Mentor Mall here. I haven't been there in a long time though. Every Christmas and birthday my one daughter gets a whole bunch of goodies for me from there. Their stuff is just awesome! So many different scents and all...like a little bit of heaven hahaha. (Calgon...take me awayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!)

I can not tell you the last time I had a bath. It has been years. I take a shower everyday, Sometimes more then one a day. With my arthritis if I tried to get into a bath tub I would not be able to get out again. The first apartment I had only had a bath tub. It was a huge one and after I would get off work I would fill it up and just soak in it. Often using candles for the light because the light bulb was to bright if I was trying to relax. Your comment about the bath or shower everyday dries the oil out of the skin made me remember my Grandfather. I lived with him for the first year I was in college and he had the belief that you took a bath/shower once a month whether you needed it or not. This is true. He only took it once a month.

When I read you reply I had to laugh at that one, You mean your Grandfather took a bath or shower once a month. Now we know that we can not do that. We will run everyone away from us. Have a good day! so you see Ederly people don't like to take Baths or Showers, I think most people would take one at least once or twice a week.

Oh, 1grnthumb, I had to laugh so hard! I am still laughing, you are crazy, such good humor! This was the hardest I had ever laugh since I was on Mylot! You are very funny, I don't think your Grandpa would like you talking about him like that. Is he still living?

It is true. He rather got stinky by the end of the month. That is why I got my own apartment when I could have stayed there for free the whole time I was in college. I was told that it was considered a dpression era habit. But he was born way before the depresion so I thing it was more of a poor folk living in the country habit. It amazed me that he was a successful insurance man. I think people just bought the policies so he would leave.

Luckily I just had a bath this week and it is very relaxing. I could spend a day in the bath if I were the only one using the bathroom. Light a scented candle and play a soft music in the background and read a good book or magazine. Oh, it really feels good to have a bath. Oh by the way, you mentioned about washing oils off the skin. You know what? I don't use lotion anymore. I use baby oil instead and I apply it on my body every time I take a shower.

Well, our bathtub is not good at holding water so I usually just take a shower. I don't like it as I hate water hitting me in the face. I find that a long hot bubble bath is the best remedy for a long tiring day and then you smell good and are relaxed for bedtime. When we build our new house, I will have a garden tub that I can sit in for hours if I want too and I will have a hot tub as that is the best form of relaxation!!

Hello Marciascott, I take a shower every morning when I get out of bed and at least once a week(usually twice a week) I'll put away some time to soak in the bathtub when I get home from work. I find bathing very relaxing after a hard day at work and it also feels good to be locked in a room far away from everything thats going on in the world for a short time. Yours truly, Tianna

i used to take baths all the time.. 1 or 2 a day.. one in the morning and one before bed.. but as i had more health probs getting in and out of a tub became harder to where i only take showers now.. 1 or 2 a day lol.. i have to worry about too much steam since i have asthma and you arent suppose to be around steam and i cant use any bubble baths etc or i get an infection.. but i loved to turn out the lights and light candles and put on either music or get the noise machine on ocean or something and lay in the bath..

Hi, I have Asthma, that is really strange that you can not be around steam with Asthma, I went to the Doctor about my Asthma and he told me to take a hot shower because it will open up my lungs, the steam. And he was right, why you can't be around the steam, that doesn't make any since. Did the Doctor tell you that?

Maybe I'm crazy but I take a shower and then sit in the tub and let the water run over me and I fill up the tub. So its a shower/bath. I do this to let my conditioner sit in my hair for at least ten mins and then stand up and wash it out.

I love baths. Problem is...I dont get to them like I want. I have 2 toddlers running around, and they usually stand at the door screaming at me. I've tried to relax in a nice bubble bath after they go to bed, but that is usually when I get the cleaning done that I can't get done with them awake, so I will sit in the water not so relaxed. *sigh* One of these days I will be able to take a nice bath again. LOL

I do like to take long soaking baths from time to time, but time generally don't allow for me to do that. I take a shower every morning before I go to work. Showers get me going and get my day started off on the right foot.

Ours is a bit different story altogether. We take bath everyday and in summer season we take bath twice. But small twist, that here I do not mean bath as the same thing as you do. Basically over here bath means pouring of water with a mug on the body taking it from a bucket, whether cold water, or warm water and applying a soap and washing it off after gently scrubbing the body with hands.Taking bath in a tub is not yet a common thing in this part of the world. Taking showers is slowly becoming common these days. To have a bath tub means it requires a lot of space and good water supply and it is costly too. But even having tubs is becoming common in the newly built homes especially by high income group people. Well, whether it is a bath or shower, it is highly relaxing. It makes mind and body fresh.

There is nothing like a warm bubble bath with milk powder. leaves your skin so soft . I find taking a bath very calming and use to take them a few times per week . Now my dang tub leaks and I can take a shower . Hopefully I can rebath soon.

I haven't had a bath since I was a little girl. I love to take showers it is something about the water running down off of me, I think sometimes that the stress is running down with it. When you take a bath and you are really dirty I think that you are just sitting in dirty water and it is just getting back on you so what's the purpose of taking a bath when the dirty is going to get back on you. Yes I do think that once you get older it is harder for you to get in and out of the tub becuase it is low.
