can you define love?!

love is something one cannot define, not until you are being hit by it. for me, i think love is what you choose to feel or someone you choose to give it. it is when you are ready to give up some of the things which are hard for you to do before. it is when pride doesn't matter anymore, and when you are ready to give up the freedom you enjoy just to keep that someone you want to be with for the rest of your life. when reasons itself cannot answer for the questions you are searching for an answer.

love is many things, a physical attraction, a protective feeling like with parents, a warm and loving feeling a feeling to want to nurture, to support, to teach, to guide, to mentor, a feeling to help another individual in anyway you can, charity, with work, help them find a job, anything, love is doing good things for other people

My favorite description and definition of love comes from the Bible - 1 Chronicles 13:4-7. "Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but delights in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, alway perseveres." To me, if love doesn't follow this, it's not love. Love involes much more than physical attraction. When two people love, they want to spend the rest of their lives together, working together, building each other up, helping each other grow. With love, the other person becomes more important. You care about how he/she feels, what his/her dreams are, and how you can help him/her achieve those dreams.

I don't think that love should be defined as strictly between a male and a female. Mothers and fathers love their children. People love their friends. Some people love their jobs, pets and certain possessions. So, if I were to make up a definition for love it would be this: Love is a strong feeling of affection directed toward a specific person, creature, event or object.

love is a great feeling that you feel for someone. you feel like doing everything for the person and you think that only him can keep you happy. love is the greatest gift that one have in his life. you care for someone and so does he do for you.

Some great historians have said that love is an attraction between man and woman, for the purpose of reproducing man kind. But i dont think thats the correct answer, cause historians havent seen the whole history, the whole present or the whole future. Love can be defined in a much easier way. But dont laugh out. Cause this is the truth. Love is when me and my girl friend are in each others arms :D...yayy

I think that each one have his own way to feel. Love is a deep feeling and it is demonstrated by many ways. Some persons don't have the ability to show it but can feel it deeply. So, love can have many definitions.

I think that love is not completely definable. However I do think that love is more than attraction. It's about being a best friend. Its about sticking by someone no matter what. It's a connection in heart and spirit that nothing can ever sever.

Love is much deeper than physical attraction. Some say it's a chemical reaction, pheramones, blah blah blah. I believe that the word "love" encompasses many different things: friendship, honesty, loyalty, sharing, comforting, caring, thoughtfulness, generosity, and many more things. When you have all of these things in one person, and you are the same with that person, you have true love. You can call it nature if you want, because all of these things are natural parts of most people. If all you have in common is a physical attraction, then you have a very superficial relationship that will not last.

Love is "Simply a Sacrament"

Love is a feeling where that couple comes for the mutual understanding but nowadays many of them endup with fight.That must not happen,Love is shared friendship.

I think, love is a commitment of both the girl and boy. nothing else just commitment. may be you have physical relation, but no commitment to care about some body to whom you say you love him/her. no commitment to stay with that person, you break your commitment second on second. thats not love. love is commitment for everything.
