Have you experienced this?

I set a goal of answering 50 discussions but I find it hard to do as finding discussions to respond to is no easy task for me. I just find it hard to get discussions I'm interested in...how about you, have you ever experienced this? If so, what do you do to solve the problem? I resort to clicking a certain interest and answering discussions under it.

I only respond to discussions which I find interesting. I could never set a goal of making a certain amounts of responses or a certain amounts of new discussions, because I do not know how much I have to write. I find that there seems to be a lot of people that are just responding to everything, only with a short message like "No, I don't" or "I agree". I simply think there is no point to that. I'd rather make a fewer amount of posts with some real comments in it!

Hi there Vianne! I rarely feel like that. But that's because most of the time, I choose to open discussions from my interests so usually, I have something to say about the discussions that I read.

I usually just go under new discussions and read the new ones first. If I can't find anything there I sometimes go to the news articles or do as you do find a certain interest. Sometimes I check to see what my friends are discussing. I am not on here as much anymore but that is how I do it when I am here. Some days it seems like I can respond to anything and other days I don't feel like it at all. It all depends on what kind of mood I am in I guess.

Yes that's happened to me so many times already! I don't have a 50 post goal though that's too high for me. I started with a 10 post goal then now I've increased it to 20 just to determine how many posts per day will earn me a dollar. :) So far, I think this is my 35th post which is the best I've done since I joined myLot. It's been a good day today, yay! But I run into uninteresting topics especially when I check out today's top discussions. I don't know why those are top discussions they're not even that interesting. I also check out what my friends have started. And finally, if there's really nothing good out there, I just reply to those who've replied to discussions I've started.

yes, i experience that sometimes... when that happens, i just browse and read other people's discussions and responses... i can't force myself to response to a post if i am not interested... so i prefer to just keep quiet and enjoy myself reading... take care and have a nice day...

When you find a discussion that you like, look at the bottom of the page and there may be similar discussions for you to answer. I also then would start a few discussions that interest me as well. New people also like to be welcomed if they have unanswered discussions.

I use to do that myself respond to 50 discussions a day. It helps and adds up pretty fast. Have you tried searching for discussions? I do this myself all the time. This way I can find discussions that I want to respond to.

Yes, I agree with you. I spend so much time shuffling thru and trying to find things that grab my attention to respond to. sometimes it is just my mood, I think because I'll go back the next day and respond to some that didn't appeal to me earlier.

Setting a target is good, but not too high though.. I think by setting it as 50 is too much unless u have alot of things that interest u.. If not, u can try to aim for 20-30 1st.. Or even start at 10, but this time, u are gonna respond to topics u are not really interested in.. Once u try it, u may gain interest in it and will add on to your list.. So maybe when u set your goal at 50 again, u will find it alot easier ^_^

yes, I have experienced that as well, sometimes the topics are so hard lolz... I mean, I can't relate to it but there are other times that they are really nice and cool discussion on where I can participate. You really have to scan or check out all discussion, I am sure you will be able to find one. Also, it is advisable if you answer discussions when you are in good mood.

I dont set goals, because I dont think I will be able to keep that commitment. I just post from day to day. I download my personal pictures sometimes and use them for my interest. I also respond to discussions my friends posted, and top discussions, I go betwwen those and they keep me busy.

I have even earned over $2 one day by responding to many discussions, maybe over 100. The easiest to achieve this is to respond to one persons discussions continuously. After some time you get used to the person and it becomes as easy as a common conversation. At Mylot what we do is talk to each other. If someone asks you "How are the Wright Brothers?", and if you have never heard of them are you going to ignore him and run away without saying a word. You will definitely answer with about 4 sentences. Have that attitude towards Mylot also.

Yeah, some days I find a lot of discussions that i can reply to real easily. Other days, i can hardly find any that interest me at all. I haven't really set a goal because I know I'm going to get more, better-quality posts done, if i'm not trying to work toward something. If i'm trying to work toward a certain number of posts then all i'm going to be concentrating on is posting as much as i can, and not posting as best as i can.

Well, I experienced it somehow, for me it's really hard to have a goal like that. :D Well, it's hard to find an interesting topics that I can answer and also sometimes due to my time. So usually, I think there are only minimum 10 discussions I can respond in a day. XD

I've discovered that if I come here with a goal in mind for the day, I won't really find as many interesting things about which to comment. But...if I come here just to enjoy discussions, I find myself commenting more and finding more topics. Weird, I guess. I check out "today's top discussions" and "discussions my friends started first" then wander around from there.

It's not easy for me to just respond to each of the discussion here especially those that not interested me at all or I don't have an insight or experience on it. So, I rather reply less than simply respond without true information and distorted the value of discussion here. I didn't do much to address this problem. I rather wait than cheating people with my respond. Happy mylotting.
