"Where is the checkbook?" "I don't know you had it last." "No I gave it to you." "No you didn't" "Yes I did." And so it goes on. The whole house is scrambling for a checkbook or other important items for that matter. The person that lost it is blaming the whole world because they certainly did not misplace it. Well that was our morning here. I did pretty good about remaining calm even though I knew he did not give me the checkbook and I calmly recounted his steps at the store and mine for that matter. Not sure that exactly helped the mood*L* Low and behold after 45 minutes of this the checkbook was where HE put it along side his extra keys. I did get a oh I found it sorry about that. With a huh huh from me he went off to work. So does this ever happen to you? Someone blames you for what they misplaced or do you ever blame someone for misplacing your things when it ended up being where you put it?

If mine is lost I lost it. My husband has no access to it. If he needs something I handle it. I do the bills which include the checkbook.=)

We are always looking for some thing in our house. The checkbook is a funny one in our house. We have like 3 check books going right now. So we go from like check number 200 to 550. Its because I keep one in my car and there are two in the house because we can never find the last one we used. Its always some thing!

Normally if someone said he has passed something to me, I will just say the truth. If it is with me, then it is with me. If I had passed it back to him, then I have.
For my own things, I normally know where they are. If they are missing, it is usually because people take it without my permission and did not return it.
For things as important as checkbooks, I am the only one handling them.

I think that it is just a man thing. MY husband does that to me all the time. He usually will take something and put it in a safe place, but then he goes and forgets where the safe place is and then I get blamed for it.
I then have to remind him that he put it in a safe place....where is the safe place, nobody knows!

Yeah, that happens a lot around here. I usually blame my kids and it's usually my wallet. Never fails, though, one of my kids finds it and it's usually right where one of us left it!
