Weird eating habits?
My dog does.. He doesn't do it every time he eats but it he does do it on a regular basis.
We have his water and food bowl over in the corner where our kitchen table is and he'll take a bite of his food and walk away from his bowl and eat... then go back and get another bite and walk back to the end of the table and eat it.
I don't get why he does that but it's cute/funny.

Mine (she's gone to Heaven) could peel the shell off a peanut and eat the middle. No one ever taught her that, she just did it!! I never saw a dog do that!!

Thanks. She was 17 when she passed, five years ago. She was quite special.

I do know (looking at the peanut butter on nose photo) that dogs love the taste of peanut butter. I used to make doggy peanut butter cookies. It was a special dough just for dogs that I used to get from Corbi's.

My parents had a dog that would eat dry dog food and every meal, he would carry the dry dog food over to my mother and drop it at her feet where he would eat it, then he would walk over and get another mouthful and repeat the process.

One of our dogs does practically the same thing. He will grab a piece or two out of the food bowl and than he will go on the carpet in the dining room and eat it and than go back to the bowl. He is the only one that does that our other two dogs will stay at the bowl and eat we find it really funny.

i don't have a dog currently, but my aunts dogs ere pretty funny. they would not eat unless the dry dog food had some warm water on it, and my aunt stirred it with her finger. my uncle could stir it, but they wouldn't eat, unless my aunt did. quite funny actually.
