"Do you miss home?"My boyfriend just asked me on the Internet.
"What home?"I replied.
I don't have a home.I failed all my families, and I don't think I can face them till I can be proud of myself.Maybe some of my friends here at mylot have know that I dropped out college. It's really not easy to be accepted for most people .They don't understand me,think I'm crazy.
Perhaps I'm just too idealistic, know nothing about misery. So I thought maybe I could work online and can make ends meet.Yeah,I was just too idealist.Working online is good, but as I spend most of my time alone,I kind of felt isolated with the society.
I just find a regular job.I will go to work tomorrow. This is my first regular job,I will do my best, and hope everything is fine.I hope I can have a decent job ,live on my own, then I can go home with some dignity.

Good luck on your new job. I hope you will be successful with it. Just make good with it and everything will be okay.
I am looking forward for the time that you can be proud of yourself and be strong enough to face your family again. Im sure they are also waiting for you.

Congratulations! What kind of work will you be doing? You are doing good, gxnfly. Don't let anyone make you feel bad just because you're not doing what they want you to do. It's your life, not theirs. You will probably meet new friends when you start your job. That's where I met all my friends. You've got your whole future ahead of you. Enjoy!

I am sorry I am coming to this 5 days later but Good Luck with the job.And I can understand leaving college if it wasn't for you. What is so good about college is that you can always go back and finish if you really want to. And home to me is anyplace you feel comfortable. It doesn't have to be your parent's house. It can be anywhere.

sometimes we have to live with our idealist if it means having our own selves. what you did may not please others, and may be a crazy act for them, but i do understand you. i have such ideals when i was in college but i gave them up for my family. i choose to make them happy, even if it means losing my own self. i have a hard time coping up with it at first, but i have learned to live a normal life right now. away from the ideals i once have and given up.

Though we are from different cultures, I would not consider you as having failed your family in any way just because you dropped out of college. To me, that would be like saying that you failed them because you didn't choose a specific line of work or a particular job.

Hi gxnfly! I am really sorry to learn about that my friend. But I am happy to know that you are going to have a regular job. Don't be sad my friend. In time, everything will turn out right and you will soon have your dream come true. And in time, acceptance and understanding from the people you love will follow. Just keep on doing what you think is right and what is best. Best wishes and luck on your new job. More power and God bless! Take care always.

I wish you the best in your new job! I hope you feel proud of yourself and go home one day! It is not a sin or a crime to drop out of college! You did your best and need a break, that s ok and now you are going to work! Many people put off college until they are older and more ready. Others study one class at a time until they graduate! You can do what you really want to, one day!

I've always been away from home too. I had to live on my own at the age of 17 when I went to college and I got so used to it that I have been working in Manila which is 3hrs away from my hometown. Next month, I'll be moving to Dubai to work for a hotel there, I know I'd miss my family but I guess it won't be that bad since I've always been independent. I remain close with my family despite the fact that I'm always away. We regularly keep in touch and I guess that is really important.
It's a good thing you've found a regular job. I'm doing online jobs too, but regular job is more fun for you get to spend time with friends and learn more about life; it lets you discover your strength and gives you the chance to know your best self. I am so sure your family misses you. I hope you could go home soon! To me, knowing and recognizing your mistakes may also mean dignity, you have already found it, sweetie.

Well, I used to study in another state which means I lived separated from family. To be frank, I'll miss them when I was about to out of money! So bad, right?
It's good that you get back a regular job. For me, internet earning can be done for side income purpose. Hope you enjoy connect back to the society.
I think you can try to contact back your family. Who knows they are waiting for you and will accept you for who you are!
Have a nice day.
