Does anybody iron any more? I purposely buy things that don't need ironing absolutely as much as I can!
And does anybody Spring clean? You know, take everything out and clean the floors, clean everything off, get rid of what you don't need or want and then put it all back? My husband does that every so often. We didn't really do that growing up. Such fun, really...

I don't iron, I have always hated ironing unless it was something that didn't have to be done at a certain time. I'm too rushed now a days to have to worry with ironing. Most of our clothes are all permanent press. Every now and then hubby will iron a shirt, but I will pass on it.
I also don't get into cleaning for the fun of it. I do it as it needs to be done :)

I do iron. Even clothes that supposedly don't need ironing often do. I hate wrinkled clothes!!! That doesn't mean that I slave over the ironing board for my hubby's shirts, though. He doesn't care and I can't make him see the difference, so why should I?
Spring cleaning? Well, sort of. At least twice a year we go through our good junk to see if we can't part with some. But I usually do a bigger cleaning going into fall and winter, because the windows have been open and more people have been in and out of the house during the summer.

Twice a year would probably be better. It wouldn't be as much work if we kept up with it more!

I tend to be the same way with the ironing. If something needs ironed, I just spray it down a bit and stretch it some and then put it on. Forget that ironing, that's for the birds! LOL I would really love to be able to do some spring cleaninig, but it never seems that I have enough time to even begin to tackle that feat. We did do that growing up, but it's nothing that I've ever really done. I guess the difference would be that my mom was a stay at home mom, and I work full time job plus!!!!

I never iron. What I think is hysterical is that my older brother does! He's single and after he does his laundry, he irons every one of his shirts.
I think he gets it from my mom. She liked to iron. I guess I escaped the ironing gene.

I try to avoid ironing as much as I can. I hate ironing! I also try to buy things that don't need ironing, but I do have a few things that require it.
For a while I was taking anything and everything that needed ironing to the dry cleaners. That got too expensive and I had to stop.
Now I have a pile of clothed that need ironing, but I will only iron if I know I'm going to wear it.
I don't exactly do spring cleaning, but I do have periods of time when I go on a bit of a cleaning rampage.
This usually happens at the begining of summer and at the beginning of the school year.
I hate cleaning most of the time because as soon as I'm done it just gets messed up again.
When my kids are busy and out of the house it feels a little more gratifying. Stuff stays clean for a little while.

I don't buy 100% cotton anything unless it is a knit because I hate ironing. I am presently Spring cleaning but I am not used to doing it. I hate cleaning, but after everything is clean it is a good feeling looking around and seeing everything all nice and clean and tidy. It is a great feeling seeing the trashman taking away unecessary stuff too when I find trash that I really don't need and no one else would like either. It is a great sense of accomplishment. :D

Well, we don't iron all our clothes anymore. Its not because that we don't want it ironed but simply because the cost of electricity in our country is very high. I am in the Philippines and our country's electric charge is one of the highest among Asean countries.

I don't iron, when the clothes come out of the dryer i will fold them up and then put them away. If when i come to want to wear the item and it is slightly creased then I might run the iron over it!!
As for a spring clean, that's something that is on my list but I want it to be something me and my boyfriend do together as we can decide what is junk and what to keep!! i don't what to throw anything away for him to turn round and say 'I wanted that!!'
As for cleaning, we are getting a new kitchen/bathroom put in next month (hopefully) so I don't see the point in doing a full clean when they are going to spend 6 weeks trashing it!!

Only reason I have to be there is my husband tosses first, asks questions later. And then he doesn't remember what he did....

Yep when I"m in the right mood, I actually enjoy it (don't tell my husband). But when somebody's pushing me when I don't feel like it, that's another story!

I don't that, but I will stick things in the dryer with a wet towel rather than iron!

I buy t-shirts with 5% elasthan in them so I don't have to iron them and still be able to look reasonable.
I do not need to spring clean because I keep what I have in order. Every so often a new coat of paint or wall-paper on the wall may be needed in the spring. But that's about all. Just keeping things organised and clean in the first place helps and is much better than letting it go to pot in the first place. It's not my favorite hobby, but just keeping up and doing a little every day is so much better than having to do a whole lot all at once.

You're right about keeping things organized. It's so much more work cleaning when you don't. But I'd imagine you'd still have to do some things periodically like clean the carpets, etc., no matter how organized you are!

I do not iron, I hand press my things when they come out of the dryer. My husband irons his dress shirts.
I do not do spring cleaning, I spot clean things that are annoying, the refrigerator, curtains, closets etc.
When I was growing up we did spring cleaning, Thanksgiving cleaning, Christmas cleaning and cleaning cleaning:-)
My mom stayed at home, so there wasn't much surface cleaning to do, moving things is the cleaning I am talking about.

I still iron because I purchase many items in cotton. I like the way it smells when I iron and the act is a form of meditation. My spring cleaning usually consist of spraying the screens down with simplegreen cleaner and then rinsing. I let them dry in place and the breeze makes the house smell really good. I also spray a disenfectant spray scented with linen into the air intake of the heating and cooling system. It helps to kill mold and the scent is distributed throughout the house. Everyone thinks I cleaned all afternoon.
Every now and then I will actually get down and scrub the tile floors and do the base boards. Those magic scrubbers by Mr. Clean really work great on the floors and it doesn't require additional soap. I actually mop afterward. I am worn out just thinking about it.....enought cleaning already!

I like my clothes ironed and I would do it myself earlier. But now we have someone who does the ironing for us and though it does cost us some money...it saved us the electricity..so it's all good.
We don't spring clean every year (though I'd love to). But we do it once in 2 years atleast (after me nagging my husband)

I don't iron, no way! Too much hassle. I usually only iron when clothes have gone REALLY wrinkly.. but i don't seem to have that problem anymore. I havne't used an iron in over a year. I spring clean when i get in the 'cleaning mode'.
