Taking a lunch to work does take a little time, but the savings are astronomical
over time. Moreover, it's a lot safer packing your own lunch.I'm trying to cut costs, so packing lunch is an easy way to cut costs . But as far as I know, a good number of people claim that this was something they
just couldn’t do, for a variety of reasons. Some say they just don't have time in the mornings.
I don't know,I just got up early in the morning, about half past 5 in the morning. So I have enough time making lunch.
One of my colleague never pack a lunch in the morning. She packs her lunch in the evenings.
I take fruit snacks, yogurt, real fruit, and
rice.
Do you pack your own luch,or you just eat out?My workplace does not have a microwave or fridge,it's really not good.

When I used to work outside of my home, my husband and I both used to take our lunch with us to work. We would take leftovers from the day before or fix sandwiches. We had a microwave and some vending machines at work to use, but we never did use the machines because it was very expensive. alot of people would go out for lunch every day and that costs alot of money and gas.

I carry lunch to office most of the days. I prepare either sandwiches or some other snacks or noodles or maybe rice with curry. It does save me a lot of money though its no doubt tiring to have to prepare your own lunch everyday and then to actually carry the lunch box itself. Some days I feel too lazy or maybe I feel like eating something tasty yet sinful and then I go out for lunch. This usually happens at the beginning of the month when my purse is fat.

I am lucky in that I work at home and lunch is just a short distance away. However, sometimes I get a craving for something which I know they will never prepare so I just hie over to my favorite place and eat. I then take my time in going home. I am my own boss and I can do pretty much what I want.

In this times and day, very seldom we can find someone packing their own lunch to the office.. Many ple will think that it's outdated and ashamed.. heeh ^_^ While ple whom still do that will say that it's savings.. ANd yup, u are right, packing your own lunch really cuts cost by alot and not little.. JUst imagine a lunch over cost about $5 now, for a week will save $25, and 1 month will save $100.. WIth this money, there are many things that we can buy instead of spending on food.. hehe ^_^
But there' no micromave in your company, so u have to beware and aware on wat kind of food can be kept and be eaten later.. If not, u will get an stomach upset and it will not be worth the trouble ^_^

I make a packed lunch for my partner every day. Money is tight so this is a better and often healthier option. This morning I made him two sandwiches, an apple, a wholegrain bar and a carton of pure orange juice. If he were to buy lunch it would cost at least £5

Believe me this is the way to go. You are able to check what you consume and the cost is much cheaper. When I am taking lunch to work for my daughter and I, I normally get up by 4a.m. and cook, dish out the food, leave it to cool and by the time I have devotion, bathe and actually get ready, the food is alos ready. When I purchase lunch 9 out of 10 times you dont get your money's worth and the food is either too peppery, too salty or just down right not tasting good. Packign your lunch is the best way to go.

I pack my lunch the evening before. I like to use some left overs from dinner, if I have any, and if they are adjustable enough to make a sandwich with. Last night I had salmon steak for dinner so I was able to make some salmon sandwiches for today's lunch. My daughter and I work together, cleaning houses, so I make lunch for her too. No big deal, I made two sandwiches instead of one. I never go out to buy lunch because I don't have the time to, and if I did it would be to somewhere like subway, and why should I buy a sandwich when I can make my own for far less money. Or McDonalds, where the food is so full of calories. Or Tim Hortens where the price is great.

Before, I was packing lunch before I go to work. We prepare it at home and I eat instead of buying in or near the office. It costs quite a lot and a big chunk of my salary will be seen when I compute in a weekly / pay period basis. I still bring rice though.
That was on my first job. On my second company, it got a bit better. We had free lunch together with our employment. It was really saving me a lot of money. The downside, the food often gets recycled. It was actually confirmed by one of the company doctors. anyhow, I still eat when the food arrives to make sure it's new.

i packed my own lunch. it saves me money and i could eat healthy and clean foods knowing that i am the one preparing it. for so many instances already which i saw flies, hair and other yucky objects on my food from the canteen. this makes me decide that i have to pack my own lunch. i just don't save money, i also save myself from the wrong kinds of food.

My wife packs me a lunch every day. Usually she just packages up left overs from the night before, and I eat them the next day for lunch. Takes minimal time, and saves tons of money. If there are no left overs then I get a sandwhich, with some fruit and pudding.

hi gxnfly, making your pack lunch is a very good way to save a lot of money rather than eat out in the restaurant. You even save on gas for just staying in your office for lunch rather than go out to eat. But for me, I just don't like to bring food to work. It's not practical and will cost me much more but I could still live with it anyway. And as you said, you don't have microwave in your workplace to re-heat your food for lunch. I don't want my food cold anyway.

I don't work but I pack a lunch for my guy every morning for him to take to work. Luckily his work does have a refrigerator for him to put it in so it will stay fresh. Sometimes he eats out but that's rare.

I bring my lunch to the office. I don't have to prepare for it in the morning. In fact they are the food from last night's food. I don't think there is something wrong with it. After the dishes are ready, then I put some in the lunchbox. Then it will be put into the fridge. I bring it to the office next day. I reheat it in the microwave oven and that'll be done. A nice lunch is ready. It's convenient, healthy and economical.

i my opinion , home food is the best food
we do cook for abt a week and push all into the refridgerator
at home we cook food to suite our own tastes
we cook it in such a way that we can get max. nutrition
but on the other hane , when we eat out , we actually do not know the cleanliness and hygine adopted
1 may actually say that it is a bit too tough to get up early in the morning and cook after a hectic previous day
fine in such extreme cases 1 can afford to eat out
but i am sure , none of us actually have a very hectic schedule that bars us from getting up say abt 30 mins earlier the next morning to pack our own lunch
and now talking abt the money part of eating out
1 may say that i earn so much so i do not mind eating out and spending miney there
instead you save that amount and invest in your own preparation
save the money and save your health
i , as i mentioned , everyday oack lunch and come
i dont think it is so necessary to actually heat your food a hot case would do the job i am sure
so just think abt it when you do have an option of preparing home food and save money then why not adopt the same
