It's Friday the 13th!

My dad whom passed this past August wouldn't do anything on Friday the 13th. When I was younger we had coincidental things happen and he associated it with being Friday the 13th, so therfore wouldn't venture out the house on these days! By the way, thanks for reminding me it was Friday the 13th, so now what am I going to do! LOL I will still go to work and look forward to my weeks vacation off from work!

Nothing on the 13th has ever happened to me and i have always heard that it's a bad luck day. I guess that this fits in with the missing 13th floor in tall buildings. Just something that is bad luck about 13 period i guess. I don't remember anything bad happening to me when i was 13 years old either. When i was young i use to believe in superstitions but as i got older they just faded.

Friday the 13th has been very controversial when in fact there is really no difference whether its friday or sunday the 13th, i really don't see the relevance of bad luck and its relationship to the 13th day of the month falling on friday. I am not superstitious and even if i am i will certainly not include friday the 13th in my beliefs. Its an ordinary day and some child are even born on this date.

I was raised that Friday the 13th was a bad day all around. Everything that would go wrong we'd just say, "Well, it's Friday the 13th." We began the day with that defeated attitude that is was Friday the 13th and then it would just get worse as the day went on. We didn't venture to do much extra on these Fridays because they brought so much bad luck. I am not superstitious and this is just another day to me. It doesn't bother me at all. I believe now we have the kind of day we allow ourselves to have. God bless you!

I'm not sure myself how come Friday 13th is consider a bad day. But then it is ok for me I suppose since nothing bad happened to me on those day. Even if something bad did happened, it is only pure coincidence. Just a little something that I heard from the radio this morning. A celebrity was giving his opinion about Friday the 13th. He said that Friday the 13th is supposed to be a good day. He gave a few theories though. Firstly, he said when you pronounce 13th, you sort of spit some saliva out from your mouth, and when you do that, it means shower of blessing, so it is good. Another theory is that the number 13 is a prime number, which can only be divided by its own number. That means that it is strong, powerful and cannot be destroyed. There's a few more but I couldnt remember all of it. I thought it was lame though. But thinking back of it, it might brightens the day up =)

i dont believe in any superstitious belief... but superstitious belief is only one way of reminding us to make extra careful in our everyday living. thats all.

I don't generally go in for the suspicions thing, but Friday 13th has just ended for me (it's Saturday 14th, 00:43 for me). I don't know why, but I seem to have had an AWFUL day: My phone broke, my bike broke, a stupid bus driver nearly took me off my bike but only shaved the skin of my elbow, I forgot several things and I still cannot sleep (hence is it now 00:45).

Hello dolce, I can't remember also anything happened to me that I can say bad! I always remember Friday the 13th since when I was in College, we have to make it a point not to miss the mass. It was like our devotion with my friends but never heard of bad luck about it!

Nothing bad really happened to me on that so-called black Friday. My day went well yesterday except that I got really busy. I never believed in Black Friday because so far nothing bad happens to me before. I guess I am lucky!

Hi There, I must say I am superstitious and I do believe that Friday the 13th is not a good day. I have always had bad things happen to me on it. Today was another lousy Friday the 13th for me I am afraid. I dont know if it is because I am expecting it and therefore contribute to it happening or what. I am not superstitious. I don't believe in Friday the 13th. Nothing bad has ever happened to me or anyone that I know on this day. I saw a headline this morning that a study proved the Friday the 13th superstition wrong. I didn't read the article though.

It is just another day to me and I wouldn't have even realised what date it was but opened email notification of this discussion. I am sure those that have anything happen bad today who are superstitious will blame the day but if this happened on any other day would just put it down to a bad life experience. Ellie :D

i don't believe this superstitious idea which many are now being afraid of this day may bring to them. i consider all days are holy because it's a gift from above. we must enjoy our life everyday even we encounter some trials. God want us to be happy so we must be happy. Even in my hardest time of living still i am happy because i have God who help me to overcome this trials.

It is not about Friday the 13, I just don't like Fridays in general. More traffic, more people in the store, more chances to be in car accident. I like to be at home on Friday if I can. I just limit my activity on Fridays.

Bad things have happened to me on Friday the 13th.And bad things have happened to me on other days as well.

I am not a superstitious person. Nothing has ever happened to make me believe this day is different than any other. Accept maybe the release of some spooky movies. lol I have even owned 2 black cats.

hi dolce vita yep it is and I am not really superstitious but I did have a lousy night but that was because I am fighting shingles and not because of Friday the 13th. they cause a lot of pain and thus I have trouble sleeping. sometimes I have had unexpected good luck on a Friday the thirtheenth so heres hoping lol.

Well Friday the 13th has arrived just like any other day in Ontario Canada. (Well maybe a little grey and humid again.) My veiws on superstition go something like this: If you find time for negitivity it will find you.

I have no idea what day it is. One person says Friday the 13th, someone in a different time zone says thursday. I'm in Eastern time, what day is it? Cause I seriously don't know.
