Have you fallen asleep on a movie that you really wanted to watch?

I have plenty of times, I will tell myself, that I am going to stay awake and not go to sleep, but sooner or later, I will drift off to sleep, and miss the movie.. And sometimes this movie, does not come back on right away..

I havent done that for a movie Im really interested with.. But I fell asleep in a movie house for watching a drama movie. My scholarship benefactor treated us to that movie.. When I woke up, the names of casts were being shown.. I didnt know the ending of the movie...

Once, when i accompanied my eldest to the spiderman movie..I love to watch it too..but I was so tired from work that day and didn't really noticed that I have fallen asleep..Good thing i didn't snore or else my son would be really mad at me for disturbing his concentration

I fall asleep all the time during movies. Its a thing with me I get so comfy that I just pass out. Thankfully at a theater I cant get that comfy so I dont fall asleep there.

Yes and sometimes I don't get a chance to go back and watch it before it gets returned to the video store so I try my hardest to stay up. Last night I kept falling asleep on the zodiac but I don't think I really want to go back and watch it even though its on our DVR right now.

I have a really bad time with this. My body thinks that once it is eight in the evening that I should go to sleep. So we will be watching TV and I tell myself that I really want to see it and to stay awake. But I fall to sleep anyway. I had to watch The Lord of the Rings four times before I saw the whole thing because I kept falling to sleep.

Been there , done that so many times I have lost count. Most of the time the movie comes back in a few months . Or I have gotten lucky and it was to re air the next week. These days I have HBO's and Showtime's email addresses so if I miss a film, I just request it.

Yes absolutely! I have insomnia so I don;t get enuf sleep anbd consequently I fall asleep at the most inoportune moments. If it's a movie I am not a fanatic about, I don't care. But if ita movie I actually go to the theatre to see, it drives me crazy. The last suc movie is The Departed. It has several parallel plots so you must pay attention to understand the ending. I habe attempted to see it three times. Once at the theatre; twice at home on HBO. Still need to see it again to see it all the way thru. Oh, and nodding off in the threatre runs the risks of snoring. It is a very uncomfortable feeling to wake up in a movie house not knowing if you snored.

Yes this has happened many times to me also and I hate this. I never want to miss an interesting movie because of falling asleep. I get very irritated on myself for not remaining awake till the completion of movie. To avoid this to happen again,I sometime try to evade sleep by taking tea or coffee or just stroll outside for few minutes or wash my face with cold water. These tactics work sometimes but fail also sometimes.

Yes, cream97, I have certainly fallen asleep during a movie. I tend to nod off in a movie theater, I guess because it's so dark in there! Particularly if I've done alot of running around or other strenuous activity on the day I go to the movie, I find myself wanting to take a little nap during the film. Which isn't that easy, if you consider how loud they keep the volume in the movie theater. Well, take care and try to stay awake. PearlGrace

Yeah, it's happened. Just last week I had tried to stay up to catch a movie and I started dozing. I did everything I could to stay awake to see at least half of it. And of course the movies thar rarely come on, only do when your exhausted, lol. I waited a long time for a movie to come back on once. And I think I ended up buying it instead.

That has happened to me several times and I hate it especially when I go to the movie theatre. I am wide awake and then all of a sudden my eyes feel heavy and i cannot keeo them open. And i realize what a waste of time and money it was that I didn't even see the movie in full, all I remmber is bits and pieces. And its funny too because it bothers me when someone says they want to watch a movie with me and they fall asleep.

Poirot - One of the finest portrayals of a character to the minute details in the history of cinema.
Yes many times. I am an avid fan of Agatha Christie and his fictional detective Hercule Poirot. David Suchet is one actor in the history of the movies who has lived the character completely. It is a treat to watch the movies. But I tend to doze off at the critical final moments of the Hercule trying to unwound the knots of the crime to everyone sitting in an old English country house always. I just wake up to find the most unsuspected person as the perpetrator. It is fun. But Next day I always watch the climax again.

Happens to me all the time, in my office, we work in shifts, 6am-2pm is the best for watching movies. After duty, friends would go out shop a little, eat a little then watch a movie that we like. After about 20 mins, I'm out. But I usually wake up during the credits, had to, because they would leave without me.

Yeap.. it happened to me some times.. and then it's hard to get back from where we start.. And when the movie is really awesome it's really sad to lose such great content :) but next day or as soon as i wake up or have time.. i'll watch the rest.
