I used to not going to the bathroom when I sleep during the night at all. But since I started working in graveyard for the whole weekdays that's mondays through fridays, wherein I got to go to the restroom once in a while, my body system has change a bit I guess. Coz when I sleep during the night on weekends, I really feel like I need to get up and go to the bathroom for a couple of times...and I don't like coz sometimes I have a hard time going back to sleep again.

Most days I can get up about 3 times to pee. I don't know if thats normal or not... I try not to drink much before I sleep, but I still end up going about 3 times a night. Its really annoying because I would love to just sleep all night... But I never can!

It seems a bit excessive. I will wake often once but that is usually it. I sure hope you have an ensuite bathroom or you are putting on some miles!

Nope, but my husband will wake maybe 2x but I heard that it was not so normal to wake in the night for peeing, unless of course you are drinking lots before bed

I have this problem. I feel it is because I need to have my bladder worked on? repositioned? something is not quite right. When I am sitting at home, I can sometimes go for 3 or 4 hours at a time without having to go to the bathroom. There is something about laying down at night that changes the position or something. If I'm lucky, I get 2 hours sleep before I have to go. On really bad nights, I have to get up every hour. It is irritating. I figure that is when I get in my exercise...LOL! But I am 57 and you are much much younger. I have been told by my family doctor that there are new advances in such things. If surgery is needed, it can be the laproscopy? (sp) type that is pretty non-invasive. Have it checked out.

Few years ago I used to have this habit quite frequently and later on I found that it’s due to psychological effect especially during those nights that I couldn’t sleep well.
Later the father of one of my friend taught me the way to due with this problem. It’s a simple way as just to discipline the muscle concerned with physical exercises by contracting and relaxing repeatedly at least 20 times twice a day.
