I use a Kingston USB its capacity is 4 Gb.
well i fell that it is very important for me as i require to do a lot of data transfer.
It is a must for all computer user, the main advantage is with its small size.
And as it is that i need to ake a lot of presentations i need not burn a CD or a DVD all the time. some times before i have started using aN USb there were computers without a DVD player so it used to be very difficulty.
Thankx to USB it saves a lot of money.

I keep 2, 2GB USB Drives on my keychain, so they are always with me. One drive is mostly work related files, schedule and time sheets, call-log notes, troubleshooting notes, archived letters and emails, etc. My 2nd drive is all personal, and includes a complete suite of freeware portable apps (found at portableapps.com, and some other USB apps web sites) that include portable open-office, filezilla, firefox, system info tools, and DVD/CD read and write tools. i love having the "plug and go" ease. Someday I want to graduate to 20GB or so drives, but 2GB X2 is serving me well right now. :-)

Hi julyteen, I have a few USB Flash Drives and I love them. I keep a copy of all my photos, files, important documents on them. I also take one along when I go to visit my brother and I get a copy of his new pictures from his computer so I can put them into my computer when I get home. It is so much better than using cd's and dvd's to store things, I also love that the ones I use are password protected.

I have two 16GB USB flash drives. They are very important to me. One is for my personal files while the other is for my lectures. I rarely bring my laptop in school so the lectures I prepare are all saved in my USB flash drives. Since our office provides the laptop for our lectures, all I need would be my USB flash drive.

Nowadays 1GB flash drives are costing less, and that's a good thing to me because I don't have to purchase a USB flash drive costing $20 dollars.
Currently, I got 7 USB flash drives with me, 1 is unopened. Some of them work with Windows 98, the OS for my laptop computer, and the rest are for higher OSes like Windows XP. These flash drives are definitely useful because I can transfer my files to and from other computers. Plus, they fit right in my pocket, and are more portable to carry around than bulky external hard drives.

I dont have one yet but my husband has one that he got when he wanted to transfer some of his music and pictures. I will probably get one later so that if I ever get my pc fixed and get a way to work from home I will keep some of my work stuff on a flash drive. I think they are great to have.

Yes I do use a USB flash drive. I'm using a portable firefox so when I go out I just update my USB drive and I can bring my customized firefox where ever I go, my plugins, addon, bookmarks, even my homepage. I also have Open Office in it, an image editor, encryption program, burner and system tools. There's only one that I cant put in there yet, my window XP.)

It is indeed a very useful tool. As a teacher, I usually do my lesson plans in my computer in my room and transfer the file to another computer to my assistant for translations. Any data that we would usually share are kept in it for future use and viewing. But since last week, we were not allowed to use any USB due to the reason that our USBs carry viruses to the other computers in school. This really paralyses the school's computer system and affects the students. Well, I am getting used to not having it. Though useful, we need to protect the computers. Take care =)
