I think that some of the best jewelry does come in white gold, and yet I still love the darker gold

I could only imagine a platinum colored car...or better yet an entire building made of gold, with platinum trimming and silver tinted windows...hmmm, who knows one day maybe such a building will be made, or maybe it aleady has.

Silver. I've ALWAYS been a fan of silver. I only have a few select pieces of jewelry that are gold and they were gifts. Silver just seems to fit my skin town and my personality better than gold.

It's great to know the diversity of the worlds population, everything from their political thoughts, to their wants to their needs, and most importantly their thoughts on family. Though this is a topic for another discussion. To me to see people put multiple ideas on a discussion so simple as metals is great to me, it shows that no matter what the topic whether short or long we are willing to say our peice.

I wonder if gold will ever be more expensive than platinum.

I think silver definately has an appeal. I still think gold is a unique metal due to its color.

My personal favorite is platinum. Platinum is more costly than gold so I really cannot afford it. And I dont like gold so much. I think they dont go with everydress. I like Diamonds or Platinum much better because thay can be worn with a lot of dresses.

I agree. Though as i stated above earlier you can find some platinum plated stuff around but sometimes it's not worth the headache...it still costs a bit more than normal jewelry.

I like the mix of White, Yellow and Rose gold. The colors together with some diamonds are incredible and very eye catching.
My wife likes White gold and thats what she gets from me.

We have something in common. Though recently my wife told me that she would not turn down a platinum necklace or diamond studded platinum earrings...lol...yea when we ever have that kind of money maybe I might splurge.

White gold is definately a dimmer gold, but has its own unique look. I think you has a more fine look than silver. Silver sparkles brighter though. I'm still a rich gold colored kind of person even though honestly I am not materialistic I would never turn down a gold necklace from my wife.

I think gold has a type of prestige attached to it. Although we all know that platinum is the most expensive, it looks like silver. The jewelry I buy is always yellow gold. It just feels like silver, white gold, and platinum are assumed to be silver. Yellow gold can never be mistaken for silver!

Hence my reason for saying I love gold. I am not as much a yellow gold person but more of a rich colored gold like the color of gold bricks, which I only witnessed one time in my life. My mom was born in Louiville, Kentucky and every year I would go visit her for the summer and a few times we were taken by my grandparents to Fort Knox...man is that place neat. They have old tanks and stuff from each of the wars, and we got to see the sparkle of a real gold brick...my God was that thing more beautiful than I can describe...it was magnificent.

Strong but lacking real beauty, but then again all things in their beauty are in the eyes of the beholder and that is the truth.

I wonder how much goes into a platinum album...considering when singers or bands make it to a million sold.

I once had a watch I thought was made of platinum and little did I know that things can be plated in platinum but man was I disappointed when I found out I had been duped. I guess I should have read the fine print. Plus it was cheap...both in money and the fact that the band broke a few months later.

Platinum is such an expensive metal. I don't even know what the exchange rate is anymore.

Your right about legendary. Who wouldn't have gawked at a golden bladed sword or plate mail armor made of gold. Many good things alos have been associated with gold along with white clothe.
