Okay, I might not be here too long but I noticed that I earn more if I tag my responses. I responded to more discussions without tagging them and then I responded to less discussions but always tagging my response with at least one tag. And I noticed that on the second occassion I earned more.
Did anyone else noticed that or am I simply imagining??

I've tried to pay attention to this, but I haven't been able to tell so far. But I have had days where I made more even with less posts, so it's very possible. I think I've only had a day or maybe not even that where I didn't tag since I got here. A lot of times I feel like skipping the tagging, but I figure it only takes a few seconds, and that if there is any chance that the tagging does add up to even a few cents, I am not going to take my chances by not doing it. I usually just use a simple word related to the topic or whatever. Like for this one I'll probably put in mylot, earnings, tagging.

thank you for your reply :)
I think tagging your responses can be very useful for people who do searches for discussions, though I don't see any other reason. apart from that I really think tagging can influence the earnings.
Also: thanks for tagging your response :)

i never tag my responses when i am responding... but i do tag my discussions when i create them... as for the correlation between tagging and earnings, i never take notice of it... i don't think that the tags will affect a lot in your earnings... i think it is the quality of your discussions and responses that matters more... take care and have a nice day...

Gee, I'm not sure about this situation too, but I guess we really need some solid evidence if we are to prove that tagging do earn you some money on mylot. I remember back when I first started on mylot, I used to add a lot of tags to my own discussions and to the discussions of others. After a while, I just got a bit bored of doing it and I just stopped altogether until today. I know it's not a good thing to do as a honest and failthful mylot member, but I just got too lazy I guess.... I don't really notice any difference in earnings because my postings and earnings are really random so it's hard to tell if one act earns me more money or not. But thanks for bringing this up anyway, because I might just get back to tagging discussions after your simple testimonial....good luck and happy mylotting!

I'll have to admit, sometimes I tag stuff weird just to see it show up, its on point but not exactly. I don't know if tagging helps or not, tag if you can.

When I first joined I tried to figure out how earnings were calculated. I read every thread about calculations and every one had a different theory. I think that the earnings calculations is based on many things and not just one and tagging may or may not be one of those things.
I've been here over a year and I just post to threads that interest me and I make a little money doing it. I don't worry so much about the earning part of it because on a day to day basis there is no way for me to tell how to impact my earnings.

Hello calajane,
Since I joined mylot I am already tagging my responses so I don't notice it at all the difference in earning. Is putting more tag gives you more earning or just a simple tag will do? How could you be sure that the tag is the reason why you more earning than without tagging? Did you post the same amount of lines and on the same topics? It might be very hard to know but if you see tagging helps, I will continue tagging my responses. I hope we have more of this new discovery at mylot. One mylotter said one response is one cents. More responses on your discussions means more cents. It make sense.

robert, I cannot be sure of anything, I"m here less than two weeks and I know that there are still things I need to learn about how this place works. That's why I wanted to ask people here if I'm the only one who noticed that or I"m just imagining... but thank you for your response :)

when i was new here, i'm always making it sure that i put some tags on the discussions that i've posted. but later on, i became so tired and lazy on putting some of those so i just quit putting some tags lol but if i'm the one who's starting a discussion, i make sure that i put some tags in it so that it would get notice most of the time

I always tag my discussions even if sometimes I don't feel like doing it. The thing is just there and will not let me go quietly to the next discussion without me taking care of it so I always tag. I dunno if that makes a difference to my earnings. Should I make more than one tag?

Even i havnt noticed it keenly, but as far as i know, i dont think it matters a lot, i think there are no huge difference in the earnings level because last week, the whole week i didnt tag my posts, my earnings were good, this week seeing one of the discussions like this, i started putting tag, unfortunately, my earning was lower than last week, ha..ha..ha...wat to say?

Hello, jane, i haven't noticed this rule. I used to tag each discussion when i frist joined here, and now i will quit sometimes. Some discussions have already got the tags that i want to add, and sometimes i'm just lazy to add more.

Yeah I 've heard from a peoser about this matter before. And I notice this, sometimes I taged, and I 've earn more. But sometimes I notice there is no difference between tag and not tag. I don't know whether the tag really does matter the earnings, but I still tag the discussions. I hope it will increase my earnings. That's really good to see your discussion, the tag maybe really increase the earnings. I hope there is other can increase, haha......

I respond the discussion with tagging every time. But i don't pay any attentions for the tag,my post is $0.01 mainly,so i think tagging and no tagging are same.Maybe my response isn't good and value of post is less.
