Do you take a bath or shower? What do you use?

I'd enjoy having a steaming hot bath, with bath oils and bubbles and all. Imagine the luxury of lazing in hot, fragant water, while reading a book!
However, we don't have a long bath at home; so we'd have to take showers instead. I'd prefer using shower gels - especially lavender and rose. It's all foam and fragrance. My husband, however, prefer soaps.
What about you? Do you take a shower or a bath? What do you use? Bath gel, body shampoo, soaps?

ooooh lazee that sounds so good. I have a big tub and a motor propelled water jet with 2 heads I use for when I'm hurting or just want to relax more. I use the things you meantioned. I love lavender, and other scents. It is so nice to lay back, have a glass of something cold to drink, letting the hot water run slightly so it stays nice and hot until I am ready to get out. It's nice also to do this at night without the lights and using candles. Aaaah so relaxing. I wish you had a tub so you could have a nice relaxing soak. I think I'll go do just that, thanks for the idea. lol

It is one of those you can add onto the side of your tub. It's like a vice grip thing you attach it to the side of the tube. It has 2 jets that whoooosh water out and I can turn them in different directions. I love it. You can get them at Wal-mart. I don't know how much it would be. I've had mine for a couple of yeras. I do have a huge tub, it has a seat on the side of it. I just love it. It's huge compared to the one in the front bathroom, it's just a regular sized one.
I have thought about replacing one of them probably the fron bath for one of those with jets in it and a larger tub. I just don't know, I'd have to make the room bigger, it would be a huge project. But most guest use the front bath and I feel bad that they just have that small tub. I offer mine but most will not use it. I did put nice shower heads with several massaging setting or pulse settings on them.
You did give me the idea the othr day and I went straight and soaked in the tub, thanks it sure was nice. I usually shower mostly. But I do like to soak in a hot tub when I feel like it.
I do so hope you get a tub soon.

Yes, I always do take a bath, using the shower is wasting water... Proper hygiene is a must... LOL... I use a body soap and shampoo plus a conditioner... I don't have a lot of rituals in my bathroom, as long as I can freshen up myself and as long as I know that I'm already cleaned up, that's okay...=)

I don't know about showers wasting water theory. I tested it one time. I stopped up the tub. Turned the shower on, got in washed my hair, shaved my legs, and bathed. There was only about 4 inches in the tub when I was done. I was amazed. When I get in the tub or anyone here the tub is half full. That is was more than 4 inches, it many gallons of water.
Give it a try and see, if you are wanting to conserve water or a water bill.

Hi lazeebee
If it was my choice definately a nice long steaming hot bath with bath oils and plenty of bubbles and listening to some light music.
In reality that is not the case. After attending to the needs of the little one I don't have much time except for a quick shower.
I use all kinds of shower gel but never soap as I believe soap is harsh on the skin.

I take showers, primarily because of time, but also because I feel like I am bathing in my own filth when I am in the bath; it freaks me out. So when I do take a long bath, I frequently take a quick shower afterwards to "rinse off" since I feel just as dirty.

I like taking showers personally because they are faster and I believe more comfortable. I do occasionally take a bath here and there because we have a large bathtub with the air powered jets and I get some reading in while I do.

I take showers and use the best shampoo and soap I can get. Its lovely seeing the scented soaps run down your body and leave the shower all scented and clean and comfortable.
Dove is the brand I use with Pantene shampoo and its about the best combo you can get in Trinidad unless you're spending your millions.
I would prefer a bath but the apartment I live in doesn't have that.

I love a deep hot bath full of bubbles but unfortunately it doesn't happen very often as there's normally a small person trying to join me!
We haven't got a proper shower so when we shower we have to stand int he bath and be careful not to spray the room. It's quick and easy though, so that's what I tend to do. It also takes less water, which is pretty important.

Hi Lazeebee, I almost started a post like this too! I am fortunate that I do have a bathtub. I have back pain a lot of the time and it feels so good to lay in a warm, almost hot, bath. I love the fragrances too. Sometimes when I really want a lift, I take a bath in the evening and light candles. My husband is a shower person. So, it works out great for us. He uses the shower and I use the bath. I hope you get to take a bath instead of a shower soon. It is most enjoyable. :)

I take showers a lot. I don't really like taking a bath. For me to take a bath, I would have to clean the bath tub first before bathing. I don't know, I have this feeling when I take a bath, the bath tub feels so really dirty especially from the drain.

we have a bath tub in our apartment but we don't use it a lot because, it takes time to fill the tub with water and we still don't have a nive foaming product. we just take a long nice shower everyday and before going to sleep. we just use the bath tub occasionally.
