I have both but like the dogs more. They are willing to do things with you any time. I love it when I go for a walk and the dogs all join me. But cats tend to do things only when they want. The cat we have can be very loving but only when she wants to be.

Definitely CATS! They are so darn cute and cuddly! I have two. They are inside cats, they love to eat and sleep and sometimes even play. They each have their own personality, one loves to cuddle while the other isn't much on that kinda of stuff. One likes to be held, the other doesn't. They both love it when it is nice enough to open the windows and they can sit in the windows and watch the birds outside. They both refuse to drink water out of a bowl, they have to drink it from the faucet. Both of my cats weigh at least 20 pounds each. Both my cats are rescue cats, the oldest one we got at the humane society and the other we found outside when he was 5 days old. They get along with each other for the most part, and there are times when they rough house a bit, but never serious. So, my choice would be cats for sure! Now you need to ask a question like if you were to get a dog what kind would you get?!! LOL I have an answer for that too!

Most cats are like that, that's why I love dogs but I like small dogs just as much as large dogs.

Right now we have both. We have a collie and several cats. As I get older though I'm finding I like cats more. I think it's because they are more independant and the can be a lot less work. I don't have to walk the cat for example. Also a cat is always a lap cat. Trust me a collie, even if she thinks she is, isn't a lap dog.

i like dogs. small and big dogs. they are more obedient and more apt to protect you. a dog will bark when something is wrong or something is outside. Cts are good farm animals. They help keep the rats out of the farmers feed and produce. but thats just my oppinion.

I definitely love dogs a lot more. While I do not have any cats, I don't mind them. I like dogs more cause all the cats I've ever had, just weren't friendly. They didn't mind if you petted them, but not for long periods of time, and they hated to be picked up. While my dog on the other hand, she's spoiled. She thinks she has to be constantly be petted, haha. But I love her. She's a boxer.
