hi mylotters I just did a response and was evidently half asleep as I did it because my first line had a string of one letter.lol I am just wondering if any of mylotter friends have done the same thing or something similar, and if you managed to hit the start discussion key before fully editing your response? I feel really embarrassed to see this weird response with that stupid line of one letter, and wondered how I managed to miss that and hit start discussion without even editing it? dumb. I know.

Hmmmm, I have fallen asleep at my computer but, never while trying to respond to a post. I just wake up to my screen saver and wonder how and why it came on while I was still active on line, only to look at the clock and realize that I have not been active for at least a half hour.

The really sad part of it is, I don't get up and go to bed, I go back to what I was doing for an hour or so then, head for bed.

Dear Hatley, I think it's time for a holiday :-) Or at the very least try to get out more. That is pretty bad, when you start to write a string of one letter words. Just imagine how the person feels at the other end of the line. I have also noticed how many people are putting in the lols and the emoticons to get their earnings up, but it shows up very quickly, if the people are really not interested in the conversation. All the best from Germany and good morning. UMart

Hello Hatley,I had to laugh when I read your response. Images of you being afraid to open your mail - It sounds like one of those phases in my life when I am afraid to open my mail box, simply for fear of a massive bill or a letter from a lawyer. I hope you weren't sending out your one letter messages to an legal people :-). Anyway get yourself off fishing or into the sun and recharge yor batteries. All the best from Germany. UMart

I know I have fallen asleep here at the computer quite a few times, and probably would have posted something that made no sense if I accidently would have hit the Post response key as well. I find it easy from time to time to fall asleep at the computer. Especially if I am really tired, or my blood sugar levels are not in check as well.

I am insulin diabetic and insulin dependant at that due to other issues. I get tired and fall asleep if I am too high, or go too low as well.

Oh good, Hatley. I'm glad I'm not the only person that that happens to. I have sat in front of this computer and dozed off many times. When I wake up I would have a line of a single letter going across the typing screen. A few times, it messed things up so I had to get out of the program or website and just start all over again. There have been a few times, too, that I would wake up and my chin is down on my chest. Man, it's hard to lift my head up when it hurts from being stretched like that.

i think instead of waiting people give response, i rather spend time reading others and give response. Go around the discussion posted, get to know what on ppl mind today...Comment given might help he/she think in another way... always see the discussion is zero can make my day so bored....

Oh I think you need a good rest as your body is asking you to do. That may also be a sign that you need to relax and refresh your mind. Mylot is not going anywhere and when you have regained your strength I am pretty well sure that it will still be here for you waiting for your posts.

LOL! that is funny Hatley! But, for sure you are tired that time...I have experienced typing for a response and suddenly, I felt sleepy, since this place for me is not convenient to sleep...I am tall for this deck..LOL! I will just transfer in a couch or in our bed..But, I didn't try to post it when it's not yet finished...SO far! LOL! ANyway, I know you can't edit that but you can just send additional response..LOL! ENjoy!

LOL! I have gotten tired when on the computer late at night and forgot what I was going to type. Also, I have kind of nodded off before but never left a message like that before. That is why I wish we could edit our posts after they have been put up. But oh well, we are only human!

schulzie thats also what I wish as no matter how careful you edit you can still miss something and its usually not conducive to being well understood unless someone guesses at the right word. then I will leave a comment correcting my error.

I have fallen asleep on the computer while responding but never hit the send button.. That is really funny.. I do a lot of stuff in my sleep as I have so much to get done before bedtime, I try and try to stay awake, but keep falling asleep.. I tried over and over the other night to finish the last 2 pages in a book that I was reading and kept falling asleep as soon as I read a word or two, I would try to make myself stay awake and read one more word before going to sleep again.. I finally put the book up and went to bed like someone who had a bit of sense.. Have a great evening and get some rest..

Well I may not have been half asleep while typing a response here but I've had my share of weird typos or silly mistakes that make me laugh out loud when I catch them AFTER I've posted the response..for instance my famous cherry discussion where I posed the question, did you know that cherries are good for goat? I meant of course gout...never going to live that down--I still get kidded for that

hi pyewacket yes I remember the gout and the goat but I have learned through reading a lot of discussions to read between the lines and I filled in gout in my mind.lol I do wonder if cherries are good for goats. lol again.

Hi friend, When i joined in mylot for the first time,i slept thrice while writing a response.I used to work a lot during nights in order to make friendship with mylotters.Once i haven't stopped my laptop and fell asleep, once i posted the discussion without my notice writing "hi".Once you won't believe i have written "good night" in one of the discussion without knowing what i am doing at the time of sleep. These are so of my rememberable events which i never forget with mylot...... Have a nice day.

One thing I have never done yet is fall asleep at the computer. I get so tired that I cannot see the screen clearly but then I just come off it for a while. Never mind Hatley it is just one of those things, but thanx for making me laugh again xx

Now I am laughing even more LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL see! When I first joined here I could manage 30 a time, and then I saw our Mooch and I would count how many she did and was stunned to see her doing roughly 100. I thought, I wonder if I could do that many so I tried and found that no, I could not but I could do about 90. Then someone called Hatley came to party and she was behind me in posting scores by quite a bit but then suddenly she caught me up and so I tried even harder to keep ahead, but you know I could not do it, so Hatley you were doing 100 a day for a long time because I could not keep up with you! They should name you "Hatley, Queen with the typing speed" But now I have totally lost it and some days I dont even get 25 dont know what went wrong, real life getting in the way probably HA HA , see ya guys xxx

hi gemini and mooch glad I could give you guys a few laughs. I fall asleep and my head goes down and my face hits the keyboard and that hurts enough to wake me up. I was trying for fiftybut finally got to 60 and gave up. I havent done 100 in ages. I was doing that many for several days then I cou ldnt seem to do that much later lol when I go to bed after getting so sleep I am wide awake and then cannot sleep. vicious circle.

i did one time and it was too embarrassing ti see my discussion with weird thoughts on it because I am too sleepy but I want to continue posting. lol. The thing is that we can't edit it once we hit the post discussion button. It is really a good option to stop writing when we are sleepy.
