today i was surprised to get a email from a friend of mine who i have been friends with for awhile telling me that i won something on a website that we are both a part of(this person knows about this website)so i went to my email and i had an email from the website showing that i had actually won something...it wasn't much i think only a dollar, but still a dollar is a dollar...that will buy me something...i had been told i had won things on a lot of websites before but as we all know those are all scams or the most of them are scams...so that wasn't good...but this one seems to be legit...so i was just wondering if anyone else had won anything on the internet...thanks for reading my discussion and i hope you all have a great day!

I have won a couple of tshirts through sweepstakes that I entered in the net. I also have won $15 from a GPT site in a game of Bingo that was played. I have won 2 $10 Amazon Certificates through a site called Iwon.com where you play games on the net. I would say that not all opportunities are scams.

I won on a gpt site during the superbowl I recieved an extra $5.00 for picking the winner. Then on another gpt site I won $25 in a drawing I earned an entry into. It was pretty nice to recieve free money with little or no effort.

Never but tried once . There came to listen and read that lots of people won the prizes through internet . It may be true in the us and uk or australia but not in other countries because there may not be the service , In those us and uk the local company may announce the prizes and their citizen may win

Nope, unfortunately I have never won anything. I did used to see emails in my inbox claiming that I'd won certain things, but obviously I never believed those to be real. I have, on the other hand, seen several of my friends win things, from iPods to magazine subscriptions.

I used to participate in a few websites and I used to win things on them all the time like tickets to concerts, or plays, or ski passes. Unfortunately the reason I kept winning was because very few people were participating. Eventually the sites closed up shop, but it was great while it lasted. I'd win things and then sell them. It was a great part time job.

I won a call from a disney character. I had Mickey Mouse call my daughter on her birthday and wish her happy birthday. It was great seeing her get that call. She kept saying its Mickey its Mickey so funny. I also won some steaks from that steak site Ohama or something like that. It was really nice.

I am not sure if you would count it as a win but I do a regular survey every week about lottery tickets, I never buy any by the way. For doing it they put you in weekly draw and couple of weeks ago I got £100. So I had a lottery win without buying a ticket.

Yes, i have. I won a $100 at Gamesville.com. Gamesville changed the rules now, i don't live in the region to win money from them anymore.

I have never won anything from internet.
I will think that is a scammer if I was told that I win something from internet without any contribution.
'There's no free lunch in this world'. This is the phrase which I'm using to remind myself don't be greedy. So that when I was told I won something from internet, most probably is scammer, I wouldn't be cheated.

Well, I for one have not won anything yet from the net but, I had this friend who participated in one and he did win something which got sent to his house a few days after being notified. It was so cool since it was the first time that things like that happen, even for a friend, I'm quite happy for it since most of the time, I get notified with winning things but, surely enough, the were more like scams and the last thing that I recall, I haven't joined any contest online to win anything that they would mention.
Byt the way, what my friend won was those limited edition items from that HALO game on the X-Box 360..

I won a Nintendo Wii from a site that was collecting old exams to help students learn the format their teachers used. I submitted the most, so I won a Wii =)
I also won a Nokia N-Gage (yeah, one of those crazy little phone device things). It was cool while it lasted, but it broke.. out of nowhere.. just shut down and stopped working. That was for some movie contest I entered online.
You can certainly win, but you have to be very careful about avoiding the scams that just want you to sign up so they can collect your information.

I can truthfully say I have won something nice on the Internet. Last Fall, I entered a contest for a watch given by a very nice jewelry company. They had said you could choose either the woman's or man's watch. Well, I entered the contest and completely forgot about it! How surprised I was when I got an email from them saying my name had been chosen as the winner. I had to send them my mailing address and I got the nice men's watch in the mail. It is an expensive watch which was in a beautiful wooden box inside another box. It came near my husband's birthday, so I gave it to him then. He told me I should have waited for Christmas to give it to him. But, since it was a gift I won, I decided just to give it to him on his birthday.
