How do you save money?

Hi Rosema, Whenever I get change, I don't spend it. I put it all in a cup for savings. When it is full, I'll cash it in and get something nice for myself. Also, I take some out of every paycheck of my husband's and put it aside in a savings account. You never know when something unexpected can come up and you'll need the money. Happy MyLotting, Char

I used to have different savings accounts for everything. The bank I was a member of was great and would let me give them special names. So I would have a coin savings, and would deposit all the coins into that savings that I earned that week. I even had one for coupons, if the coupon said to save $2, then I would put that $2 in the savings account. They had increased to over $100 for the both of them. It was just a fun way to save money and to see how much doing certain things actually amount up.

oooh...that's actually my problem. I'm not really good at saving money. I'm already working and I have like, 100 pesos in my saving. lmao. That's why I started this online shop so that I could save money from that instead. hopefully...I could save money now.

I am a risk-taker. Instead of saving I invest my money into guaranteed online programs. I almost forgot what I invested last year. When I opened my alertpay account last april, lo and behold! $860 has been acumulated into my account. My few hundred peso savings were turned to gold.

The best way to save your money is investing them! Money that you don't invest is either spent on other things or use in helping other people,well this is not bad as well, but i think the best way to save your money is putting them into good investments. 'Never discuss this with your Bank please,you might be looking for a very big problem if you do so'THEY LIVE ON YOUR INTEREST,YOU KNOW! I had the plans of making a long time investment in properties, but one way or the other some 'bad guys' heard about it and that was all for the dream,it was killed right infront of me . That's good. I have saved also by putting some coins in my daughter's piggy bank, although I haven't saved that much. I have two piggy banks which are already full and I'm starting with the third one.

I clip coupons! Yep, I will not buy anything without coupons, and let me tell you I have saved over 10,000 dollars in the past year with coupons. Its amazing!

i am such a thrift person. i can live a day without spending a single cent, but only for times i stay at home. usually, once a save money to buy something i want, i try to save as much as possible. i only allot some coins for my fare. sometimes i skip lunch if im not that hungry, i dont go to movies so often, and i always budget my money. i prioritize the things i need to spend money with.

I do the little things that people have mentioned here plus a few others. I save all of my coins everyday for a year, I use this for Christmas gifts and its normally a few hundred dollars a year. My bank has a program called "keep the change" and basically any purchases made with your debit card (which I use for 98% of my purchases)is rounded up to the nearest dollar, the change is put into your savings account. So I always make sure I consciously go over by some change, so instead of pumping 50 dollars of gas I will pump 50.01 so the 99 cents goes to savings. I take 10% of my earnings every pay period and deposit to savings until I have enough to invest in a higher yielding account or cd I invest in real estate properties that will yield a minimum of 21% ROI with a buy and hold plan for a minimum of 3-5 years. I contribute to 401K plan and some other stocks. Many years ago when I was working to become debt free with the exception of my mortgages, whenever I paid off a debt, I would take that normal payment and trick my self into thinking that I was still paying it and deposit to savings. So if I had a credit card bill that was 100 per month, once it was paid off I would deposit the 100 dollars and at the end of the year that would be an additional 1200 dollars that I would not miss.

I wanna save the coins but i can not do it ,couse I need it everytime .

when i was a young i do that but always someone come and take the money. so, now i just cast it before someone ask for it xD. but a good way if you are young is to do some kind of acount in bank and that one can only be open by the owner (the kid) when it reach for example 21 years old. i've did that and when i complete the age there was something around 30,000 US =p it can be no much for one entire life but is enough to you start one new life far form home

I have opened up a High Interest Savings Account that is linked directly to my Checkings account. I have used a setting that will automatically withdrawl $200/month into the savings. I use this money for Vacation or big items that I want/need. I have now also opened up one for my daughter. Any money she gets for her birthday/occation, we put into her account and I help contribut per month. I will not let her touch this account though until she is 18. I also do the coin savings when I remember but don't have as much success with that as it's perfect to buy my tea with each morning instead of being in a jar.

You should be very determined about your saving plan. I would suggest making written plan. You can often look at it and it will be very easy to track your saving.

Hi friends. I am still a student and I have found it next to impossible thing to save my money. I found that how important it is to save money by many incidence but really couldn't find a good way. Since last year, I've actually find it out how to save my money. Like I always did before, now I don't try the whole ammount of money I earn. It's quite a bad idea. I took some part of it and the I give therest ammount to my best friend to keep. As I've told him he doesn't give it back easily. Only I get back my money if I really need it. This is my way to save money. What yours?

I do have a piggy bank, but as soon as it is full I bring it to the bank. I wish I could use it for doing nice stuff with my family like a vacation. But alas things don't always go my way. There will always be a bill that still has to be paid, so I will use the money for that. Times are really hard now a days, so we can use all the money we can, I unfortenately (not sure if I wrote that right) am not in the possibility to save money.

daily savings will do and keeping the money from your sight hehehh keep it somewhenre you can't see it everyday or else you will be tempted to use them =/

I have got no chance of saving money...because my parents will give me only some money for a day...Ill not send the money on the same day,but Ill definitely spend in a day or two...or else,some or other will borrow it from me...But if you want to save money...First thing to do is to spend less...Do not go for unnecessary shopping..Try to control your self when you see some thing that you thought of buying it,when you have money...

Uhh, I really have no problem with spending. I know the value of money and how hard it can be to earn. Earning money online has really opened my eyes. I just never spend my money on pointless expensive things. Whenever I go out I always use notes, and once I break the notes I just store all the loose change away. I almost never use my loose change, I just end up deposting it at the bank twice a year or so.

i save money in my bank account. because its more safe. but once in Prussia i did something like this.. in Russia we are using rubles.. so i changed extra money to euro and keep it with me.. from that method i really saved more money till now..
