Do you think we must have a rest from Mylot?

Well, I only just started a few days ago so I don't feel I need a rest yet! This is the first day that I've really been here all day, or at least I've left the site open in my browser even when I'm doing other things.

Well, it's always good to have some break time, not just from myLot but from the internet and the computer in general. There are indeed a lot of redundant discussion threads on myLot, and sometimes I'm slightly discouraged when I see several discussions with near-identical topics. Variety would be nice! I also wish I could hide discussions that I had already replied to or no longer wished to see so that more discussions could show up on the my interests page.

Yes I think we should have, I have my share of it. The problem is we can't set a day to do it. The mood thing comes in most of the time in no particular time, we just notice we cant do anything no mater what we do. But a day or two would kick that mood good by and were back sort of fully charge. We just have to give in with this swings, are we sort of becoming like computers that has a down time?)

I think everyone needs to take time away from mylot for some rest because if we are on mylot for to long of a period of time we will get burn out and run out discussions to start,and discussions to respond too,and me and my fiance always take a couple breaks throughout the day away from mylot,even if it is one of us on the laptop mylotting while the other is playing a game,and then after a while we will switch off so that way we both get to mylot,and both get to play the game.

hello, its nice to see you again i wondered where you went, so i had noticed.. i glad you had a nice rest and yes i think we at times need this.. i am here more because in my case i have needing rest from msn... i need somewhere i can go with being alone, people to talk to, so i choose mylot I know what you mean about finding good discussions, i thought it seemed fairly quite here for couple of days.. maybe many was thinking like you We have our next goal ok.. 500 posts hehe. keep a posting.. good to see you

obviously we have to rest after any type of work we do coz working physically or mentally both makes us tiring n for every person who works have to take rest n is also important to get freshened up n to have a got start as its a way to work from home its not that we shouldnt have to rest or anything like that as every week has a sunday n a holiday, the same applies to us n can rest any time we feel like

I think it doesnt have to be mylotting all the time, you need to be doing other things otherwise we shall see you collapsing before your computer!

Well, we all have days where we are more active than others. Sometimes it is due to life being a little crazy, and then there are the days we do not feel like posting as much in here. I go thru many spurts in here as well, but have always come back.

An emphatic yes from me. It can be tiring depending on drive and intensity. Well not just that, there are plenty of negative elements on board that any rational person wouldn't want too much to do with. Of course in my recent case its not just this, its also real life "asserting" itself. Ah well, it happens.

I also agree that sometimes we need a bit of a break from mylot. Sometimes I will end up perusing for a couple of hours and not find anything I can provide an intelligent response to. It's then that I know I need a break to clear my mind. Sometimes I won't come back for several days and then when I do I feel refreshed and re-energized. It's not good to sit in front of a computer for hours on end just reading and typing. The mind and body both need a change of pace in order to "bounce back".

I sometimes take a break from here, but I never do so on purpose, by that I mean that I have other things to do rather than not actually wanting to come on here. I always find something to post about.

You are correct, I take a break from mylot and do something else. I have found that some of the discussions are not of quality. Some of them are yes and no answers, so I do not waste my time on them. I hope we soon will be getting quality discussions, that can be answered with more than one or two words. Have a great day

I don't need to have a rest here. Because I stay here I don't feel I am working. I feel I am having a rest. I don't write that much, I reply the discussions which I am interested in.

Hi,alkurishy.I agree with you becuause everyone will be tired of something no matter how splendid it is.From your words,I can find that you can get no happiness from myLot now.However,I think a rest must be helpful for you to find the interest to myLot again.You can do whatever you like in these days and just relax yourself and follow your heart.But don't forget to tell us the interesting things you find in these days when you come back.

My last posts was about a year back. I am actually back to test out how good my typing and discussion skills are. Go out and have a jog or something, that will keep your mind fresh and hopefully you can get more ideas when you see lots of other new conversations rolling in. Make sure that you have fun doing what you love, enjoy mylot.

it is not taht i can always post a lot on mylot. there are sometimes that i am so busy, i am just not able to post on mylot. so it is automatically some rest. otherwise i have no such idea to take rest.

really? did you lack good discussion to answer to? it never happened to me as i always find many good discussions to answer to and i always am able to start good and sensible discussions(but i start less discussion when compared to the amount of responses i give) anyway good luck to you hear.

It's understandable that you had to leave walmart for a while everyone needs a break for a while then come back. I know I went through a time like that and I was gone for a week almost befor I came back. It wasn't the discussions or anything it was home based stuff here I had to attend to. Now that all os fine in the home frot I can come back to mylot and pick up where I left off.

Hi Alkurishy, nice to have you back. I was wondering if you had gone for a vacation! I would log into myLot after work, and even on weekends. It doesn't matter I have nothing to post, but it's fun to go through others' discussions, read others' comments or respond to them. Anyway, welcome back and keep posting!

Agree with you. Over the last few days, I just do not feel like giving any responses to most of the discussion. But I still visit myLot and post comments to the responses that I have received from the discussions that I have started. Well, I think it is good to take a break and then come back to post some quality responses. ;p
