it is very important to know everything concerning about your health . many time i got this question what is your blood type sure when i donate my blood to someone i know or even i don't know do you know that donating blood very healthy thing it is help your circulation to be refresh the blood donation should be every 3 months you couldn't donate more than that . which mean you can't donate every two month or monthly this won't be useful it will hurt you instead of being healthy . so i think the first thing you have to know about that your blood type than start to donate to get a healthy life .

Of course I know my blood type,it's B positive. I never have the courage to donate blood and my weight is only fit in the minimum range to donate blood. That's I don't dare to donate blood, some more I am kind of weak person. I can't imagine what will happen to me after I donate blood. But I always make sure my blood type just in case I need blood from others, touch wood ,lol.

Yup, I knew my blood type since elementary years because I'm prone to accidents and I've been to hospitals all my life. My blood type's like my brain's -- A+, hehehe. Just kidding about the comparison, but I really am an A+. I never was given the chance to donate blood anyways because I've always been anemic and there was a time that the MedTech told me I'm underweight. Shucks! And I thought I'm fat, sheesh! Hehehe...

AB+ Though I didn't find out until I got pregnant for the first time. As for donating blood you are very right that you should not donate too often as you are not only hurting yourself but the person that receives your blood because you weren't really healthy at the time you donated it.
Very cool post.

I didn't find out until I signed up with the military at age 19 that my blood type was O positive. Interesting. I really didn't know. since then, I have been able to give blood and such.

hi thestar. I know that my blood type is c negative and when my husband was alive, his was c plus. I cannot donate blood as I
have had hepatitus. Otherwise I would be delighted to
donate blood as its a worthy thing to do.Before I had hepatitis
I donated blood regularly and was glad to do it.

I never knew my blood type til the day my son was born back in 1998. I was told my blood type was O- a very rare type of blood. The doctrs wish I was over a 100 pounds so I could donate my blood. They say my type of blood is hard to come by that not many people have it. As much as I hate needles I would do it for I know it would be for a good cause.

i know that many people don't donate cause they fear needles and etc but when i go to make donation i only think about people whom could die if i won't donate . this really help me to exceed the fear of needles and make me pretty sure that my pain will worth the gain . i could save some one life with just a tickle of needle so i even don't give me self the chance to thing i chosen others life .

i dont know mine.. i had asked when i was in the hospital for them to tell me when they got the results but by the time they did i was so ready to get out of the ER i totally forgot to ask and i keep forgetting to ask every other time i get blood drawn sigh lol.. i dont donate blood just because i have passed out just from having my blood taken from like my blood sugar dropping or something.. yeah i know they give you something to eat and drink afterwards but when mine drops it takes a long time for me to feel better.. if it wasnt for that i would give blood regularly because i am all for helping others

Mine is type AB. I don't know if it's + or - and I don't know what it means. What I can remember was AB. They say AB is rare and then I heard that AB is the universal acceptor. While O is the universal Donor. Does it mean that anybody with any blood type can donate blood to me? And then I also overheard someone that one's blood type can tell you which illnesses you are susceptible to. Someone said AB was susceptible to hypertension and diabetes. Is that true?

I certainly do. Mine is B+. I am certain of this because I have donated blood 2 times already. Some mistakenly thought that women can't donate blood because of our monthly cycle but its just so not true. So I urge everybody out there to donate blood too. I plan to donate another bag in 2 months time. I am thinking of doing this every birthday as a sign of life giving too.
