If you have a choice, what will be your next car/vehicle?

I currently drive a 2002 black Toyota RAV4 that I enjoy driving very much. However, I am aware, that soon, I will need to get a newer vehicle because cars depreciate pretty fast. Even though the actual buying process might take a few years, since I'm not ready to give up a fully paid vehicle, I have already started my research. Right now, the contenders for my choice are the Subaru Forester and the Nissan Murano. A little above my price range, but my dream SUV is Infiniti's FX35. Obviously, based on my choices, I'm an SUV girl. Somehow, cars just don't do it for me. How about you? What do you think will be your next car or vehicle? If you don't own one yet, what will be your choice if you ever decide to get one? Please share.

I answered already below, but I really like your choices too! I'd be after a small car, something that I'd just use really locally, so a Robin Reliant or small Morris car would be lovely! Not sure I could service it myself, but I can always learn!!

right now, i'll choose car who have lower valves so that it can consume lesser gasoline. gasoline and crude now a days are very expensive thats why we need to conserve. it's not practical to use now these days vehicles who consume a lot of gasoline. toyota vios or honda jazz is already good for me. i want also isuzu because it uses crude instead of gasoline. crude in the philippines is cheaper than gasoline.

I really like the new Acura TL and a few of the newer Nissans. I'm not sure if I could afford one that recent even if used, but thats what I would want.

It will definitely be a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. I really have a passion for driving and I like driving on the fast lane. I love race cars in general for me nothing compares to a Skyline. It isn't that expensive though since it is a mainstream in Japan. The real dilemma is that Skylines aren't that common here in our country. So far, I've seen only 2 in my lifetime. One is even an R32 which is old. But it was fast, I saw it in motion. I just sighed with awe.

I know that this isnt the best time, with the global warming and pollution but I really want a Volvo SUV. Ever since I have seen this car, I have really wanted it. First of all, Volvo is a nice car and I love it and second, an SUV that can get you from place to place, no matter what weather it is. I really want this car. And one day, I will get it for myself!

I don't drive but, I'd love a pink or black beetle with a pink poppy on the front, a smart car or a posh sports car like a Ferrari.

Right now I dont have any car.I sold my car which was really old a 1997 Dodge Neon and got a 1999 Ford Explorer which I ended up giving to my husband because I sold his 1994 Honda Civic.I love SUVs but with gas the way it is I really cant afford the gas for one.I am trying to figure out what kind of car to get right now.I need something fuel friendly and nice looking.I am thinking another Honda which is good on gas, probably like a 2004.

Well, right now we drive a Nissan Quest. Now before you laugh and say "minivan dad a comin" take a look at one. Ours is tricked out with all the bells and whistles, and a horn. I'd like to stay in the same make and model, we love ours, its taken us everywhere and its a great vehicle. I like your choice on the Infiniti, those are sweet rides, expensive but solid.

Smart Car - A nice, bright yellow Smart Car!
Well, I don't own one at the moment, but if I decide to learn to drive again (it's been 17 years!) I would like to buy something really small. Roads here are really narrow, and it's also difficult to find a parking space near our home, so a big, wide car would be a nightmare! I'm not a big fan of cars generally, and I certainly don't like SUVs, especially in cities (no offence!). I prefer Smart Cars, Ka's and Minis, which would be much better for where we live. So I would hopefully be able to get one of these.

Cadillac ED 1959 - Wrong colour, though.
A 1959 electric blue Cadillac El Dorado. Well, you said if I had a choice...;) Naturally, it'd be mainly for show, given driving to the store nowadays in it would probably use about $100 of gas. But then, I walk to most places anyhow.

I'm also an suv girl or truck. Trucks also don't depreciate they appreciate in value. More so than some cars anyway. I want a Suzuki XL-7 for my next SUV. I have a Suzuki sidekick and I love it. It has lasted over 300,000 miles without any major repairs, just needing a new battery and the normal stuff. I gave her a new motor a couple of years ago because she deserved it after such good service. I then gave her to my son because he lost his mustang in the hurricane Katrina. I have a Ford F-250 4x4, A Kia Sportage which I've had nothing but trouble with from the first few months on. It's a lemon my daughter says. I do agree. My husband has a Dodge Ram with two full seats and it's a 4x4. My truck has a seat in back for 3 grown people to seat comfortably. But not as big as a whole seat. I love my truck and found that if you have the fuel injection cleaned your gas mileage and truck are much better, like new again. It don't cost but $20 to have done at WalMart. Good luck on your search, it's a matter of what you want and need as to what you get.

Hello wayz12. Well, my car is not quite 2 years old. I usually get a new car every 5 to 7 years. So, it will be awhile. However, I definitely want to get a hybrid of some sort, maybe a Cambry, for example. I am hoping that by that time, there will be some great new hybrids out there. I can't wait!

Right now I have a 2004 Chevey Impala it only has 42000 miles on it so it should last awhile. I really want a brand new Blcak Chevy Impala SS with a sunroof I love them they are such sweet looking cars but are still a family car.

I love my Focus, but I know it won't last forever. I plan to get something a little more fuel-efficient, not that my Focus is bad, but I would like to get a hybrid. I am holding out for the plug-in hybrids that are supposed to be out in a couple of years. Otherwise, I would like something red and shiny. :)

A RAV4 will last at least 10 years. My Tacoma was 14. Don't be too hasty. I would vote for the Subaru myself, but I'm not an SUV person. Whatever you get, consider a diesel because it can also burn used vegetable oil which, at the moment, you can get for free from McDonalds. I have an 11-year-old Buick that I plan to add a brown's gas generator to. The research shows that it will add at least 50% to the unmodified engine. That way, I can burn water as fuel.

Well I have 3 vehicles right now, but if I were to replace one of them, my dream car would be a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS... they are sweet cars, good on gas and great for speed :) Plus they aren't that expensive... You can also get awesome stereo packages in them :)
