How long will you reinstall your operating system

good day likenetlife; well, I have a pc still up and running haven't re-installed OS in about 2-3years now. Virus/trojans can be prevented, that if you know that you are infected. From time to time, try checking your boot-up/start-up programs by typing MSCONFIG in Start Run . From there a System Configuration Utility windows pops-up and select the Startup tab. There you can see all the programs that automatically run during system boot-up. So you got a clean running system now, try to remember the startup items listed there, and if next time you check and you see something that looks suspicious, you can disable it by unchecking it. I hope this helps from keeping you re-installing/reformatting your pc from time to time.

if your are asking how much time it takes to format my OS. then my answer is that it gets installed in approximately an hour. and there is no data loss, if you are asking How often i format my windows then i would say that i Load OS approximately after 2 months. hmmmm peace.

Sounds like your anti-virus program doesnt protect your MBR which is your master boot record. mine asks me anytime something wants make a change to the MBR if it is a virus that writes to the MBR then your stuck formatting and reinstalling the OS. Get a Good Anti-virus program that protects the MBR and you should not have to reinstall. as for how long it takes me to reinstall. I cant answer as I have never had to do it

yeah, its hard to reinstall since u need to backup your files.. as for me, i do it whenever some virus enter my PC and the anti-virus fails. i reinstall/reformat immediately since i am afraid that the damage that the virus will cause will go further until such time that important documents cannot be retrieved..

I reinstall my OS every half year ,not as virus,but for the slow running speed of my pc after half year's using.My pc nearly never gets infected,as I use a very good anti-virus programe,kingsoft antivirus,it could update to the newest version automatically everyday,as a result of this,most of the virus aren't able to get in my pc.So,it's important to install a good anti-virus programe to protect you OS.I advise you to have a try of this anti-virus,it's really very good. BTW:My english is very poor,there should be many grammer mistakes in my response.I'll be very gratefull if you point out my mistakes.^_^
