Are You A Good Listener?

"Listen more talk less,for we have got two ears but only one mouth".This is my favourite line.I don't talk much but I love to listen,be it to my parents,my friends,my relatives or anyone.I like to hear what they have to say about themselves and the things concerning them.If they need me to talk and listen,I am always there for them.

I'll listen to anyones problems. The think I don't like is when I try to tell certain people my problems they don't seem to listen, and they just stat talking about themselfs and there problems ; "oh yeah I know what you mean I have the same problem" ,and before I know it I'm listening to there problems,and I never got to finish mine.

Yes, I can say that I am good listener. I listen to my dear friends' problem with great patience, so as that I could provide them some sort of suggestions. I find that no a days nobody wants to 'listen', everyone wants to speak and tell his/her side of story. So, if anyone finds any good 'listener', who simply starts without a break. It is a human tendency that we just wish to narrate our experiences and happenings to others to share our moments of joys and sorrows. I also do the same. For finding a good listener, we keep on targetting our near and dear ones and when we find any to our expectations, we just go to him/her, in case of any problem.

Well, I think yes I am, and I never get these secrets out, sometimes there are two of my friends have a small fight and both of them come to me and tell me what happen and they blame each other, I don't let them know that the other friend come to me and tell me I act as I don't know anything, then I try to say something to them and make them going back together, friendship is always my concern.

I guess I am. I'm always ready to help my friends and listen to them.

I think I am a pretty good listener. I would listen to my friends when they tell me about their problems. I would try to help them the best way that I knew how also. I wish they would do the same for me. That is the problem.

I seem to be the one that several of our friends or family come to for advise or to listen to their problems. I used to think about going into psychiatry. I had a friend years ago who was undergoing treatment. We used to talk a lot about her problems. She always seemed to talk to me before her sessions and funny thing was her doctor told her the same things I did. He just made money at it!

I always give a listening ear to those who need it... wheter it be a friend... co-worker... or even my students when i was still teaching... listening for me is a skill... because not a lot of people can just sit and listen... most would rather do the talking...

Hi julyteen. Yes I am a good listener. All my friends come to me when they have any problem. And the funny thing is that persons that I don't know also tell me their problems. I always wonder what is this. Funny don't you think so? But the worst part is that I don't have none to listen me because all my friends are always busy when I need to tell some problem. If I am busy I stop what I am doing to listen them. Well, now I don't tell about my problems any more LOL. But I am a good listener. Happy sunday julyteen.

most of the time in my life, i don't tell my secrets or problems. if they ask, my friends that is, i will tell them about it. but if my friend starts to tell his/hers, i am always ready to listen and give my advise if i can, to the best that i can. (red star 91 @ 1422)

Yes I listen to my Friends. I was known as the Psychiatrist in school. You had a problem you could tell me. I tried my best to give them good advise. But yeah I'd say I'm a good listener.

Yes, I think I am a very good listener. I have lots of friends who comes to me for advice and would tell me their secrets. To be a good friend is to be a good listener too. I appreciate it when my friends come to me for help and tell me secret things, this means that they trust me and they value me also. Furthermore, I think that a lending ear is the best gift that you can give to your friends.
