The Office is by far my favorite show on television right now. I love the US version, however, I could not get into the UK version. I am so excited for it to come back on after the summer is over. I miss Dwight!

Give the UK version another chance. I first saw the UK version, then the US version. At first I couldn't get into the US version, but once I got used to the differences, I enjoyed it too. Seeing both is quite an insight into the differences in the two cultures, even in something as simple as an office!

that is true penny. both are entertaining in their own ways. not really justifiable to compare the two.
anyway, letsbakeacake, just like you, it's by far my favorite comedy show! i can't stop laughing and hurting at the same time. great combination!

I first saw the UK version, and then later some of the US version. They are both hilarious. I think anyone who has ever worked in an office can relate to a lot of what is going on. If get a chance to see the UK version, watch it - if you liked the US version, you will like the UK one too - Ricky Gervais is brilliant.

I actually liked the way that they were different. A lot of times when the US remakes UK shows, they don't work because the original idea is too British. I loved that the main characters and stories differed to make it more appropriate to the country it reflected. Both were fantastic at laughing at political correctness! One of my favourites was when they did the exercise where they had to guess which nationality each person was from tags they wore.

i don't really wanna compare the two. ofcourse, since the american version is based on the UK version, they have to have the same basic story. but after watching some more seasons, i realized that the american version has their own story to tell.

I know of it but I haven't really ever watched a whole episode to be able to judge it properly. Maybe I should from the sound of your enjoyment.
