Has anyone felt it very tiring? I mean more tiring to what you would have felt while doing a physical work.
I feel that computer work is more tiring physically and mentally. I spend lots of time on computers and i feel it is more demanding.
Do you feel so?

I spend more than 10 hours daily in front of the computer. I cannot escape as office staff relies on computer to perform all of the tasks. I feel tired mentally. Sometimes, it depends on what type of tasks you are doing (accounts reporting (enjoying), programming (tiring), report writing (boring), chatting (to release tension), etc). For sure will get tired if work on it for too long. It applies to all type of work.
Relax and enjoy your work.

I agree with you actually. I'm a student, and I spend very long hours doing lots of tedious comp. work. After an hour or so of imputing numbers into a computer, I get REALLY sick of it. It just makes it so I can't physically stay attentive and focused. Also, sitting down for long periods of times isn't to beneficial to being attentive either. I try to get up and stretch ever half hour, just so as to not get too drowsy. Computer work can be a real drag.

Don't take it that harsh friend. it is good that you spoke your heart out. i have had problems because of working on computers. as i have told in responses above, i wish that you take hourly breaks. stretch yourself and go for a walk around your house or go to take water or toilet.
i also recommend that you do more table work. when programming prepare the program/algorithm in a paper. do the typing, debugging on the computer. this really helps. i have done it. try it out.

Yes. It makes me so sleepy. I work seven days per week online anyway and it wears me out. I spend alot of time online trying to earn money also. I think I get so tired because I stare at the screen and keyboard alot.

If the monitor is a cathode ray tube (CRT) its micro waves makes you tired. you could have heard people say not to sit too close to CRT TVs.
whatever it may be the intensity with which one works is the one that causes this. it is being recommended by doctors that you need to have a break every hour so that you break the monotony in your work. this will reduce the fatigue on your mind and body.

I used to have a very physical job and in my opinion being on the computer is not physically tiring. I now work on computer all day, very little physical work and not real complicated. I have days I feel mentally tired but overall I usually don't get real tired working on the computers. I do work part-time and that may very well be why I do not get as tired as yourself. It may also depend on what kind of work you are doing. Best of luck to you

itsnot always i feel tiring but sometimes i do feel tiring
sometime what happens is if u r doing any work unwillingly
or forcingly at that point of time a person will really feel
boring which leads to tiring so much that a person will not
be able to withstand n just feel quiting from that job n
feel like resting.
dont u think so i m right?

I work 12 hours shifts and for 11 of those hours I am sitting in front of a computer screen. I am always exhausted when I go home, although I personally think it's more mental exhaustion versus actual physical exhaustion. I work as a 911 dispatcher so at times my job can get very stressful and that just makes me more tired.
I also think it's something with the light that is given off by computer screens as well. I have found sometimes my body is not tired, it's really just my eyes because they have been staring at the same screens for so long.
I do not think spending 8-12 hours a day in front of a computer is more demanding then say a contractor or builders job. I think it's just a different kind of tired. We deal with mental tiredness while everyone else has physical tiredness. Hopefully that makes sense! :o)

While I'm working on my computer, I fell that I'm more tiring mentally. I'm a designer, so I do a lot of thinking. When I work on the computer for a long time, sometimes I need to take a short sleep.
