hi fu, do you have any experience with linux already? well, you can start off with Mandriva. Or Ubuntu, they're quite a user-friendly distro for beginners. Try it out, its easy to install. Enjoy!

Have you heard of Ubuntu? I know you do. Ubuntu is famous for non-Windows enthusiasts. I am not using Ubuntu now but if I would have the chance to, I will. I will be installing one soon.

I don't know much about linux. But i tried installing mandrake before and now i have Ubuntu which i never use. Ubuntu is getting the hype these days because of the easiness of use. But i don't suggest this distribution for you if you are an intermediate user. When you install this package, it gives you the basic skelatal OS, and you really need internet connection when you use it because it needs to update everytime especially when it is new. Like when you play a video file, it has to search for codecs first before playing.
