I've heard of chocolates as aphrodisiacs but recently I read an article which reported that chocolates can have a slimming effect...I was so skeptical that I tossed it aside, but it has been playing in my mind. I mean, if something so sinfully good can have a slimming effect I must know how. Has anyone seen or heard anything along the same lines?

I haven't heard that but, like the posts above, I agree that the caffeine probably has something to do with it and you should probably stick to the high cacao, dark chocolate which doesn't have all the dairy fat and sugar that the milk chocolates, etc do. The antioxidants are good for your heartI think a small amount wouldn't hurt to have regularly...boy a chocolate diet...sounds heavenly :-p

Dark Plain Chocolate are the best chocolate if you want to stay in shape, but don't eat too much. A small piece a day will be fine.

Well, the caffeine in chocolate speeds up your metabolism, hence burning more calories, however the fat and sugar will obviously increse the calories.
