Can you keep secrets?

I think I am a person who can keep secrets.Keeping secrets is really important and if you can't keep secrets,you may hurt the feelings of your friends or family.So if you can't keep secrets, the best that you can do is not to know the secrets.

Well, my friends call me (secrets box), because I am a good listener for them and good keeper for their secrets, sometimes they all know the secret and they think that I don't know then when we are all together and this secret is told for us by someone of them I just tell them I know it from the beginning and give the all the details. So I am a good keeper for the secrets. Have a nice day.

I usualy keep up secret if that really affects someother person's life and i dont keep secret when that really doesnt mean to anybody like some vain rumour in workplace about projects etc etc..If my guy is telling me any secret i wont break it and if my closes telling me anything not to tell outside i will not tell anyone if at all i want to tell ( some times i cant just keep things inside due to stress) i will share it with someother friend who will be a stranger to my closest friend .. This question for you Yenwie84 have you not been caught for lettign the secrets out? Dont you keep secrets of your best friends or your loves ones? My bro is ditto like you i cant trust him because he never keeps anything as such as a secret.. i cant ask him so im asking you..

hi there. i know there is a great temptation to gossip or just simply tell someone, especially if the secret is exciting. however, i believe that one should keep it because it is not ours to tell. i really try my best not to lie if someone approaches me regarding the secret that has been told to me while taking in mind not to break it to the person who trusted me. i guess, we just need to strike a balance. i know, it can be pretty miserable not to breathe out a word... hahahhaa... and it can be really tempting.. but all of these boil down whether you value the person enough to keep your mouth sealed... take care.. and happy mylotting. ~ Shiloh

As for me, I could keep secrets very well. Because I understand a person willing to tell me so much means they trust me. Besides, if next time I would tell them secrets i believe your friends will do the same. I understand that sometimes is really hard to keep the secret. For example, I had once a friend who told me she is pregnant but she have not tell the other friends. So when some of my friends jokingly say that she has gained weight or try to slap her from the back as friendly gesture it just got me worried. I actually broke the news to some friends and explain to her why I did so. She appreciated me as I am trying to protect her safety.

I have a very funny observation. I have a friend who, like you, can't keep any secret. So one day i met her and said that i was telling her a secret. I remeber it was a vague statement and later on i told her a real secret without mentioning that it was a secret. Do u know what happened? She told everyone about my vague statement and never mentioned to anyone about the real secret. I guess the term 'secret' has some influence on us which makes us unable to keep any secret. If anyone wants to tell me a secret, i clearly tell him/her that i won't be able to keep it secret. This way I let meself away from any guilty feelings. Now you decide whether you want to share your secret things. And I find that the most of those secret talks are not at all qualify to be secret. Anyway, if tackled properly, sometimes it's a great fun too.

I am one person ho thinks secrets must rther left as secrets-spilling out secrets, be they my own will alwys not be my way of life-I will keep secrets deep under the ater-you can trust me with greatest secret in the world-I will pove to you, am good at keeping secrets!

ya...well..i am pretty good at them..most of my friends share their secrets with me and i must say that...neither two of them gets a doubt bout that i am hiding something from anyone....thats bout it...

Hi there yenwie84! I respect your view with regards to being told to keep a secret and that you feel uncomfortable with it. I know of some people who are just like you. Personally, when someone tells me to keep a secret, I do keep a secret. I can manage to keep it for a very long time. I do not divulge any information I am told if I was sworn into secrecy. This is because I appreciate the other party for trusting me that much.

Hi yenwie, I also don't like to be told to keep secrets. I can keep them if I have to but, I find that it's too stressful and I'm afraid that sooner or later it's going to come out. I'm really not good at keeping them. I always want to tell someone. I can't say how long I keep them. It depends on who is telling me and what the secret is about. If it's something that is going to hurt someone that I care about then I will tend to keep it. If it's something about someone that has hurt me, all bets are off!

I understand what your feelings but for me if somebody want to tell his/her secret i would gladly listen because that it means that he/she trust me.I can keep a secret long time.I dont have a reason to tell the secret and also the person who tell me the secret is really trusting me.So i would never tell the secret untill he/she tell me that i will tell somebody .

It really depends on who, and what the secret is. If it really matters I can keep it, and if it is for someone I am really close to I can. Is it bad if I feel like I can tell others secrets to people I am close to? yeah I know the answer to that, but thats how I am. I guess I am somewhere in between being good and bad at being secrets, and it really depends on the secret...

if i promised to them that i will keep their secrets, i would do it.. =)
